Sophos XG - Flexible Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
If you use the AV, the integration is really nice. Centralized management is a plus. Red tunnels are easy to deploy and reliable. App blocking is a really nice feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hardware is pricey and do not like that RAID and Dual PSU is only offered on top tier models.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application control - Being in the cruise industry with small expedition ships, bandwidth is limited and being able to filter out bandwidth sucking apps is extremely useful.
Great Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Firewall keeps our IT systems safe and secure, and the web protection allows us to provide tailored filtering to our students and staff and most importantly make sure our students can use the internet in a safely in school.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little bit of a learning curve figuring out how to do things but works well once you are familiar. I've never quite been able to get the most out of the reports and they can be quite detailed when you run some of them.

Superb Security at gateway level, Tramendous features to secure your organisation from cyber attacks which includes Zero day protection, IPS/IDS functionality, VPN with TLS 3.0(IPSEC, SSL VPN AND AMAZON VPC).

Application and web Firewall, Synchronize Security, Easy to synchronize Certificates, Fast to manage, Advance threat protection where it can inspect all contents passwd through firewall, Security Heartbeat and D-Dos capability, Layer 3 switching and routing, taking backup & firmware upgrade is a one click task, Robust active-active HA, Email spamming protection, work as a controller for all sophos wireless acess points.

It beacons and remidiate all external threats, superb reporting, Dashboard gives visibility of each & every inbound & outbound traffic , secure manageability from sophos central, Easy to apply central policy to all firewalls.

Ease of use and tier 1 technology. No complaints.

We need more of them. It's already a versatile product.

Catches all malware and hacks from malicious sites etc.

Security of VPN. Also Web URL category selection, IPS Filter, SD_Wan

Its very hard to find current bandwidth based on ip.

Most of the time we don't find any issue in this prodcut

What do you like best about the product?
The XGS Firewalls its a complete solution in one device. It provides Next Gen security and all the real-time security and insights you need to protect your network from ransomware and advanced threats. The reports provide granular insight into the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is the Firewall enclosure - because it is white, dirt shows up more quickly and is difficult to clean.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps with Application control; Synchronized user ID and Lateral movement protection

Peace of Mind, knowing that your network is secure, and your users can work in a safe enviroment.

Their is much to dislike, you have to keep upto date in order to understand the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network use to be congested with user being on sites that was not allowed. Now we can control the access with ease.

The Proxy and easy setup of the rules. It easy to setup and understand.

I currently do not have any downsides. I pretty much enjoy the product.

getting firmware upgrade 2 days interval - when need to install, we need to restart the device, thus we need to inform user that system will be down for 2-5mins
