Sophos firewall help pe to connect multiple location to SSL VPN and load balancing of my internet bandwidth
A tool that gave us back control and saved us from a cyberattack.
What do you like best about the product?
What I value most is the visibility it gave us from day one. Our network used to be incredibly slow during peak hours, and we had no idea why. Upon activating Sophos, the dashboard instantly showed us that the problem was high bandwidth consumption from streaming services (like YouTube) on several computers. We were able to create an application control policy in under 10 minutes to prioritize our erp system, and the performance difference was immediate
But we saw the real value a few months ago when the 'Security Heartbeat' feature detected anomalous behavior on a remote salesperson's laptop. It automatically isolated the device from the network and alerted us. It turned out to be a phishing attempt that could have cost us dearly. That feature alone justifies the investment

What do you dislike about the product?
Although the main interface is intuitive, configuring more advanced features like the Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect our customer access portal was complicated. The documentation is very extensive and can be overly technical if you're not a dedicated cybersecurity expert. We had to rely on our IT provider to help us fine-tune the rules correctly, which meant an additional, unforeseen cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has solved two major problems for us
Network bottlenecks and slowdowns, we can now guarantee that our business-critical applications always have the bandwidth they need, which has directly improved team productivity.
Vulnerability to modern threats, we've gone from a 'fingers-crossed' approach to having a proactive defense. The benefit is operational peace of mind. We know what's happening on our network and have a system that actively protects us, allowing us to focus on growing the business instead of putting out fires.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Firewall is very easy to use with a clean interface and straightforward policy management. The implementation was smooth, and customer support has always been responsive and helpful whenever needed. We use it daily without issues, and the wide range of built-in features such as VPN, IPS, ATP and SDWAN feature and web filtering make it a complete security solution. Integration with Active Directory and Sophos Central is seamless, which simplifies both user management and reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the reporting could be more detailed, and the web interface may feel a little slow with larger configurations, but overall these are minor points compared to the stability and protection it provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall protects our network with IPS, ATP, and web filtering, simplifies remote access with VPN, and offers reliable SD-WAN and endpoint integration for easier, more secure management. I am very satisfied with this product till now.

Sophos Firewall stands out because it combines strong protection with an easy-to-use interface.What I like is how simple it is to manage while still delivering powerful security. It integrates smoothly with other Sophos products, and the support team is always helpful. We use it regularly and find it reliable with plenty of useful features.

Honestly, there’s nothing to dislike about Sophos Firewall. It’s simple to use, very reliable, and gives complete protection without any hassle.

With Central Management, we can easily monitor and manage multiple firewalls from one place, which saves time and makes administration much simpler.

The reporting features could be more detailed and customizable, and the user interface, while modern, can feel slow or clunky at times — especially when managing large rule sets or navigating between sections.

What do you dislike about the product?
I suggest showing the Storage Master Key under the Backup and Restore tab like the encryption password, as it’s required for restoring backups. Many users create an encryption password but are unaware of the Master Key in the console, so displaying it would reduce confusion.

Honestly, there’s very little to dislike — but if I had to mention something, it would be that the wide range of features can feel overwhelming at first. However, this is easily resolved with a short learning curve, and the comprehensive documentation and support make it a worthwhile investment.
