What do you like best about the product?
It's free, it's fast and it's beautiful. Did I mention free?
It usually comes with no bloatware, and it does what it was designed to do? Give an optimal environment for an end user to code and create something beautiful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Only if they could port or develope a better office suite. Libre office is not bad, but it kinda sucks.
If you are dual booting, grub kinda replaces the MDR (unless you take care and do it the hard way). And the problem that lies here is, that if windows gets a major update and it has to do something with the MDR, your windows is lost. And sometimes even the laptop is bricked.

UBUNTU. Do not be afraid of it.
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is an excellent operating system, based on free software licenses, also known as open source, which means a large community is working behind it, constantly obtaining improvements. The operating system has nothing to envy from other proprietary licensed systems (like Windows or Apple's OSX). It functions as a single-user operating system or as a network operating system (server). It is free and comes with a built-in search engine that will allow you to search for more free and open-source programs to install on your system with just a few clicks. It is easy to install and very intuitive.
The command interface handling is ultra-fast and allows you to do anything faster than through the graphical interface.
You can perfectly test it along with a virtual machine to conduct tests before launching into implementation.
When installing it, you can install Grub (or the old Lilo) to set up a boot menu in case your PC has multiple operating systems, so you can choose which one you want to boot with.
It manages system resources such as processor usage and RAM much better than Windows.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are many applications and games that are released for Windows and Mac, and in Linux Ubuntu they are not compatible. If you are very used to using proprietary operating systems, when you arrive at Ubuntu it may be a bit difficult to adapt. Finding the drivers for your hardware devices can turn out to be quite an odyssey. Handling the command interface is very complex and requires a lot of study and practice to master it completely. Pay attention to periodic updates to keep it up to date. Sometimes it will even be necessary to change versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Free operating systems for your employees' (or students' if we are talking about an institute or academy) workstations without having to pay the expensive Microsoft or MAC licenses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ubuntu, your free, intuitive, and open source licensed operating system
Of the best for the job
What do you like best about the product?
I am a defender of Linux in general, but one of the distributions I like the most is Ubuntu. It is perfect for the desktop, having a wide range of applications at hand, and with great hardware support, being one of those with the best support.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least is that there are too many versions and they are not focused on one. Other than that, I love it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When Windows 8 arrived, we considered the alternative in Linux, and we started deploying computers with Ubuntu for users, saving us a lot of money and maintenance hours.

Ubuntu is the first choice for any level of developer from beginner to expert anyone can be comfortable using this. With its wide spread community any software that is available for Linux can be found in Ubuntu's repository.
What do you dislike about the product?
In latest LTS release Ubuntu moved from Unity Desktop Environment to Gnome Desktop Environment. for me it is a poor move as i like the Unity better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu is default OS of all our developer`s Systems.
The ideal desktop operating system
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is an operating system basically desktop that has nothing to envy its competitors Windows and Mac. It has the best of all worlds, is fast as linux systems, is stable and is updated as Mac systems, and has available of applications like Windows. It is also compatible with all hardware like Windows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The negative points of Ubuntu are few, only lacks compatibility with Office without a virtual machine, it is a bit tedious to have to start Virtualbox every time you have to modify something, and on the other hand, there are some graphics cards that are also very problematic . I would like to see if in version 18.10 this is fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Ubuntu in most computers, since for the work we do it is very practical. Through SSH and a terminal we can manage our equipment and those of our clients. In addition to the applications integrated in Ubuntu we can do hardware maintenance perfectly, with tools for analyzing SMART discs or network tools for example.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simply ubuntu is the best option, since it allows you to do everything you would do in windows or mac, but faster and better, without viruses or problems.

In general nothing disgusts me in Ubuntu, I could only say that I do not like to include applications not free or with adds.

We use Ubuntu as the operating system because it is currently fully advanced and there is no problem with drivers or graphics cards or sound carby default in all of our systems, because it is currently compatible with all of our computers, and there aren't problems with drivers of graphics cards or sound cards like a few years before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ubuntu is great as operating system, is free and fully meets the requirements. There are two releases each year and behind Ubuntu, there are thousands of people working to make it great.

Ubuntu is the most used Linux distribution, at this in my opinion is because it's the best one for much people. This is because Ubuntu it's an open-source distribution, with a big company behind that put money to do it big, and it's easy to start and easy use for almost everybody. Apart from that, it's reliable and stable operative system, and the maintenance of the system it's easy with the updates and releases program.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only bad thing of Ubuntu it's the inclusion of Unity in the last versions, but there are a solution, you can install xUbuntu and work perfect with xFce.
