What do you like best about the product?
It can perform various analyses of security configurations of the vast set of security appliances.
Reporting options are very robust and allow presenting information in an easy-to-understand form.
It is easy to spot change versions and differences between them in change management.

What do you dislike about the product?
Log management and log processing. Given the current number of logs, processing and obtaining utilization reports is challenging. Also, I would like to see development in analyzing Broadcom's proxy security policy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance and reporting. It helps create compliance reports, especially with preset compliance registers. Integrating your own risk register, makes easy compliance report

It can centralize firewall management rules.

Some reports can be optimized and automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to verify what rules comply and gives us visibility to fix faster.
FireFlow for Network Security Requests
What do you like best about the product?
FireFlow integrates with existing ticket system via API. This provides one stop shop for business end users. Customized workflows allow for adaptable processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have struggled with Map Accuracy using Algosec in our network. The solution does not fully integrate with all dynamic objects in our firewall solution so sometimes we need to get creative with fudging the requirements of a request and putting the details elsewhere in the request such as the comments. This does take away from automating such requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Leveraging Algosec's integration with the existing ticketing system creates some automated processes that alleviates some of the paperwork burden on our engineers.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Algosec for its ease of installation and integration with other products. The user-friendly web-based interface is also a plus, as it works seamlessly across different browsers. Additionally, the reports and results provided by the tool are reliable and useful in identifying vulnerabilities in our firewall configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
One potential downside is that Algosec currently does not have endpoint vulnerability reports. However, this is a small issue and overall I cannot find any major downside to the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Algosec is helping us improve our network security by identifying and addressing weaknesses in our firewall rules and configurations. This is beneficial for our organization as it allows us to harden our security and increase our overall level of protection.

It is very useful for compliance reports, traffic simulation, rendering network topology

The most valuable is helping us determine where our rules are too permissive.

Not all firewalls are supported like NSX. Time-based rules are not supported.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analysis of rules and optimization. Load on firewall and man hours spent for tasks are greatly reduced

Need more documentation on integration use cases.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best Vendor I worked along. Algosec is focused on helping customers stay secure, aware and educated. There are some legacy customers still using Algosec. The benefit is the ease in management of firewalls and rules. Very supportive team to work with as a whole and an Excellent tool for Firewall Management.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far so good. No dislikes. But when comes to commercial , Algosec prices are higher than the other similar tools. This is the feedback we receive from most of the End customers.

What do you like best about the product?
AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer can help me to optimize the policy of our firewall Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot predict bug on the new version and minim reference on KB and you need open ticket for resolved your case
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimization the policy of our firewall and check the firewall configuration is already based on compliance ISO 27001, NOX or PCI-DSS

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive to use, can fully see the effects of a firewall change and its status. Algosec helps us maintain SLAs and also assists during audits with handy reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhat complex to setup. Does not support all firewalls. The documentation could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implement Network segmentation and zero-trust networking. Allowing us to analyse and optimise our network security policies regarding firewall rules and to review and remediate risks regarding firewall rules configuration problems.
