What do you like best about the product?

Reliability and responsiveness. The proxy infrastructure performs consistently, the zone-based setup integrates cleanly with our backend via the API, and the control panel gives us enough visibility to manage things without friction.

What really sets Bright Data apart, though, is the support experience. I submitted a small UX request about hiding deleted proxies in the My Proxies list, the support engineer replied quickly with a workaround and escalated it to engineering. A few days later, R&D had shipped persistent filter caching to address it. That kind of feedback loop between users and product is exactly what you want from a critical vendor.

What do you dislike about the product?

Pricing is the main pain point, especially for smaller customers. Entry-level users pay significantly higher unit rates than large enterprises with high committed volumes, which is exactly the opposite of what would actually help smaller teams grow. It puts early-stage projects at a real competitive disadvantage against providers offering more accessible starter tiers. A pricing model that genuinely supports smaller customers, rather than reserving the best rates for those who already spend the most, would be fairer and would also help those customers grow into larger accounts over time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bright Data gives us reliable, scalable access to web data that we wouldn't be able to collect at the volume or consistency we need on our own. Before adopting it, we were dealing with frequent blocks, inconsistent response rates, and significant engineering time spent maintaining proxy infrastructure ourselves. That overhead made it hard to focus on the actual product.

With Bright Data, the proxy layer is effectively a solved problem for us. The zone-based setup integrates cleanly with our backend, performance is consistent across regions, and we no longer have to babysit infrastructure to keep data flowing. That's freed up meaningful engineering time and made our data collection significantly more dependable.

What do you like best about the product?

Nice and helpful support, easy to use, and it comes with great data sets.

What do you dislike about the product?

A bit tricky to understand pricing as we are being provided with different information. From 0$ to 250$ or even 200 000$ :D

Their dataset didn't go back as far as I would have liked and was missing coverage in the specific location I was looking at but I found work arounds for both

It gathered and cleaned data I would have otherwise had to scrape myself

What do you like best about the product?

I thought Bright Data was very easy to use. It had a lot of data for many different things, including what I was looking for. I like the AI integration which made it very easy to filter the data and get what I needed fast. The AI integration allowed me to search and filter through the data a lot faster, making it a lot more valuable to me.

What do you dislike about the product?

I thought that the API key could be slightly more intuitive on how to use and to use your web scraping tools. Outside of this I loved bright data and the Bright initiative

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used Bright Data as the dataset for my thesis, which helped estimate social media's impact on airline travel. It was easy to use, had extensive data, and its AI integration made data filtering fast and valuable.

What do you like best about the product?

I really value the ongoing support from Dani, the Academy Partnership Manager, who has been consistently helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. I also appreciate that Bright Data was able to provide exactly the data I needed, which made my research possible in the first place.

What do you dislike about the product?

My only suggestion is to offer more support from data scientists, especially around data cleaning and formatting. I handled that part on my own this time, and having that level of assistance available would make the overall experience even better.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bright Data helped solve the challenge of accessing data from a website that was under construction, where the data is normally available and can be scraped. This allowed me to still obtain the information I needed without delays, ensuring my work could continue smoothly despite the temporary inaccessibility

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate Bright Data's customer service for being very responsive and actually trying to understand my problems. They provide help and advice, which is valuable since getting data from various places requires work.

What do you dislike about the product?

The product has lots of different features, it can be difficult to tell what to use. The docs are not great or were not great when I used them before. LLMs don't seem to have a good handle on how to use it. The marketing pages say things that might be good for prospecting, but they can be confusing as an existing customer; they sound like maybe you'd missed a specific product but turns out it's just what you'd already been using. The initial setup was tricky with confusion about sync async usage etc. The chat feature could help, but I haven't tried it recently. Previously it wasn't particularly useful. Some better API docs with use cases would be helpful as well.

I use Bright Data for scraping public data, especially retrieving public reviews and customer data.

What do you like best about the product?

I like the dashboard and how easy it is to use, and the documentation is very simple and intuitive. I want to save as much time as possible, especially with integrating new third-party interfaces, and Bright Data does this really well with custom API endpoints and AI endpoints that have very easy access to. I don't have to go through a bunch of hoops and pages; it's right there on the page when I log in. The initial setup was very easy, and that's one of my favorite features about Bright Data. It was one of the pros about Bright Data, how easy it is to use.

What do you dislike about the product?

I would've liked new features and think there are some really cool things you can do outside of just proxies and scraping. For example, I had to outsource a third-party web browser through AI agents to scrape JavaScript heavy websites. It would be cool if Bright Data also integrated this, so I don't have to go out to another application. I also noticed that some websites are banned or blocked by the proxies, possibly because I don't have the dedicated business use case approval yet. Some proxies are not working.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Bright Data to access blocked pharmaceutical websites using residential and ISP proxies, helping me check medication stock and pricing.

What do you like best about the product?

As a Master's thesis researcher with limited technical background, Bright Data's MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration with AI assistants completely transformed how I could work with the platform. Instead of navigating complex APIs or writing custom scrapers from scratch, I could simply describe what I needed in natural language and the AI connector handled the rest. The platform's interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to set up and monitor scraping jobs even without prior experience. Whenever I had questions, the documentation was thorough enough to resolve them on my own, which kept my workflow moving without delays. Performance-wise, collecting and filtering over 6,000 LinkedIn job postings for a global workforce study was fast and reliable. Given the scale of data I received and the time it saved, the pricing felt well justified for an academic research project.

What do you dislike about the product?

The main limitation I encountered was with batch processing through the MCP integration, which required sending many separate requests to cover my full dataset rather than handling it in one go. A more generous batch size or native bulk-processing option for AI connectors would make the experience significantly smoother.

For my Master's thesis, I needed to collect thousands of job postings from LinkedIn across multiple languages and countries, a task that would have been practically impossible to do manually or with basic scraping tools. Bright Data solved this by providing reliable, large-scale web data infrastructure that could handle the complexity of multilingual, multi-country data collection. The AI and MCP integrations meant I could access and query this data without needing to be a software engineer, which was critical as a solo researcher working under time constraints. The result was a dataset of 6,000+ job postings that forms the empirical foundation of my entire thesis.

What do you like best about the product?

I love how easy Bright Data is to use; it's truly plug and play. The customer support is fantastic—they're super responsive and involved, which is so helpful when issues come up. It's especially valuable that we're not blocked by proxy issues for too long, allowing our B2B SaaS platform to scale effortlessly. As a seasoned developer, I can confidently say that the setup was very easy, and even less technical users would be able to integrate it with ease.

Honestly, it's still early days but currently, they're top tier
