Quick Feature Management, Needs UX Improvements

  • May 07, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how quick LaunchDarkly is to reflect changes, which makes testing easier and quicker. The initial setup was pretty easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Downtimes often take down the entire app. - The dashboard seems a little confusing when configuring the flags.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LaunchDarkly to easily switch on/off problematic features and release features selectively, making testing faster.

Easy-to-Use with a Clean Interface but Pricey as You Scale

  • April 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find LaunchDarkly easy to use because the interface is clean and intuitive. Creating flags, setting up targeting rules, and rolling out changes to only some percentage of targets takes just a few clicks. The initial setup was also very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is one of the big pain points; it gets quite expensive as we scale up the number of seats. The experimentation and metrics features are useful but feel less mature than the core flagging product. Finally, the UI gets quite cluttered once there are a lot of flags, and cleaning up is quite manual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LaunchDarkly to run experiments for ML models with feature flags, making the process easy with its clean, intuitive interface.

Intuitive Feature Flags, but Pricing and clarity on Enterprise Features Need Work

  • April 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Feature flags work well, and it’s an intuitive platform for engineers to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Enterprise Pricing for simple features:
• Custom roles – we can grant everyone write access to staging while keeping prod read-only for most users.
• Approval workflows – prod flag changes require a second person to sign off before they take effect.

It would have cost us $11,000/year, which is a significant amount of money for a small company like ours. The account manager initially offered a lower price of $6,000/year, but then almost doubled it when it came time to sign the contract. That experience has led us to reevaluate whether we’ll continue using LaunchDarkly going forward. The unclear enterprise pricing and the shifting numbers and slight unprofessionalism left a sour taste in our mouth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feature flags and A/B testing.

Flexible Deploys, Controlled Releases—No More Midnight Big Bangs

  • February 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
LaunchDarkly allows us to push code to production whenever it's finished (the deploy), even if the feature isn't ready for the public. The business side (Product Managers or Marketing) can then choose the exact moment to "turn it on" (the release). This eliminates the need for massive "Big Bang" releases at midnight.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it’s so easy to create flags, teams often suffer from Flag Rot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Problem: Developers often have to wait for "Release Day" to merge their code, or they spend hours in "merge hell" because their feature branch has lived too long away from the main branch. The Benefit: It enables Trunk-Based Development. You can merge unfinished code into the main branch every day, safely hidden behind a flag. This significantly increases your Deployment Frequency (DORA metric) and eliminates the stress of massive, infrequent releases.

Effective Feature Management, Needs Better User Debugging

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like LaunchDarkly's interface and the ability to set different audiences. I also appreciate that it supports not just boolean values, but different types of data. Additionally, the initial setup was fine with easy-to-follow documentation and guides.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's very hard to compare different variants at the same time to debug issues or get all the flags for a given audience across the flags in a single environment. For example, I want to check how a single user or single entity has all the flags for the production environment, but I'm not sure how to get that data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use LaunchDarkly to roll out features gradually without breaking everything, providing confidence and control.

Good SDK, Easy Adoption—But Limited Seats on our plan cause friction

  • January 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The SDK is top-notch. Adopting LaunchDarkly was easy across the entire stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having limited user seats in the organisation means we can't have the entire product and development team and update flags with ease.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feature management. We mainly need a simple way to control who can see new features, without having to build and maintain our own solution for it.

Easy Flag Management with Customization, Simple Integration

  • December 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's simple to enable or disable a flag directly from the UI, and I appreciate the options for flag customization and rule setting. Integration with the app is also straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
way too many customizations make even a simple use case of launch darkly sometimes complicated to setup
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to enable and disable features within our app

Provides adequate levels of detail for all roles in a squad

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a PM, I've appreciated the ease of use when setting up experiments and viewing results across multiple treatment groups, metrics and experiments running in parallel. I am looking forward to more data vis for results in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
An improvement would be providing the ability to preview the experiment control and treatment groups natively before going live as a final quality assurance measure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing the business to test multiple hypothesis about features that are being delivered, with the ability to roll back as per customer engagement with the primary metric.
