An convinced and easy method to control abilities across environments

LaunchDarkly facilitates seamless feature rollout, allowing teams to deploy updates with precision and control.

LaunchDarkly empowers you to introduce new features gradually by toggling feature flags, ensuring a smooth rollout without disrupting the user experience. Its feature flagging capabilities enable quick iteration and experimentation, allowing you to gather insights and refine new features based on real-time feedback.

LaunchDarkly excels at providing robust feature flagging capabilities which empower teams to control and roll out new features with incredible precision and safety. The platform's ability to segment and target specific user groups is particularly valuable, allowing for detailed, controlled testing and feature releases. The real-time updates without the need to redeploy code is a standout feature, facilitating a dynamic development environment that responds swiftly to the needs of the business and its users.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of LaunchDarkly is the complexity of its pricing structure. It can be somewhat opaque and potentially expensive, especially for smaller teams or organizations just starting out with feature flags. The initial setup and learning curve can also be steep for teams without prior experience in feature management. While the documentation is thorough, the sheer number of features and options can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing Need for Hotfixes and Rollbacks. When bugs slip through into production, the traditional response often involves hotfixes or rollbacks, which can be disruptive and time-consuming. With LaunchDarkly, we can quickly disable a problematic feature using feature flags without redeploying the entire application. This not only reduces downtime but also minimizes the impact on users, improving overall service reliability.

Nothing i can remember at this point. We cannot use on client side testing

Make testing feature easily. You can turn on or off the flag easily

The occasional downtime without alerting me.
When I edit a FF I am sometimes logged out and I have no indication of it.
I have to re-edit again after I click submit and find out the hard way.

Easy by enableing flag and add great freture to add each env at one place

Multiple variations to configure the Flags is awesome. Configuration on the percentage basis is vary helpful. We use it everyday for launching new features.

Changing a value of a flag in one environment also changes it in all environments. It would be nice if all environments can be ungrouped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly helps in launching a new feature to a subset of users. We enable any new feature to a small percentage of users first and then gradually increase the precentage if all looks good. This helps us to fail faster if anything breaks in the new feature which eventually improves the user experience.

The Launch platform is very intutivie and user friendly.
We use it to have better control of our production environment, and are way more comfortable to deploy changes when we implemented behind feature flag.
The JS SDK is robust and pretty easy to integrate. the documentation is fairly good and they provide some good best practices.
We use the main functionality of feature enabling and disabling by session context, we are using it daily.
Great visibility with slack integration, we see the changes clearly which is very comfortable.
We did not need to contant customer support since the documentation is clear and comprehensive.

It's easy to use and very intuitive, there are a lot of extra features in LaunchDarkly that you can't find anywhere else

It's very difficult to find audit logs of changes in the FFs, who changed what and why

Feature managements with what we call feature flags. Super easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
It's a powerful tool to modify configurations in different environments with feature flags. The UI is clean and easy to use and the customer support is helpful too.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not so easy to filter out unused flags and some flags marked to be "ready to archive" are sometimes prerequisite of other flags, thus cannot be archived. Also need to show the number of results after applying filters in Flag health panel.

The configuration change can be easily applied with LD.
