What do you like best about the product?
I think Domo's biggest strength is to merge data sources into one platform and translate business data in a usable form for both analysts and executives.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Domo could benefit from adding data analytics capabilities, similar to Tableau. Given it's already strong market position in communicating data, this would really set it apart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm still fairly new to Domo, so this may be a bit premature for me to say.

No more waiting for BI team to create our reports or if they do need to help it takes hours not days.

Got a new sales guy so there was some items he didnt know, but he went and got whoever was needed to make us happy. So much better than what we were getting from other competitors who would say "just go to our forum" or "download a demo and tell us what you think"

In the dental industry there is no good solution. This one has been excellent.

Take the time to learn the system features. They are excellent

visualizations and connectors are great. nice drilldowns to get deeper insights.

lack of analysis capabilities like simple statistics (median, sample std. dev) and algorithms (basket analysis, clustering)

how to optimize resources (spend, channel focus). as for benefits, puttiing together disparate data is high on the list

One source for all corporate employees to access data - alerts help reduce time looking for data changes - non tech employees can write analytic cards

Takes time to clean data and get started. Had to make database field changes. Breaks previously written data flows and cards

Department goals and end user input - sales department is excited to use - board reports for meetings

Cutting edge technology to normalize data - fast upload - constant software improvements

I really like that it is cloud based and allows me to access business data

I don't dislike much about this platform, there is a little bit of a learning curve to get data flowing and learn the interface but it is very user friendly

I love the visuals and the boost it gives our product when selling it.

Scrolling through the cards on a touch screen messes up the order of the cards.

It gives us a quick snapshot of how business is going so we know where to focus our time.
The best BI software for every user
What do you like best about the product?
I adore DOMO - not only is their staff the best I've had the pleasure of working with, but even with my small user group, it's applicable, It's a plug and play - but you CAN go as deep as you need to including R integration. I have been a user of Tableau and have determined to not continue that contract in order to focus on Domo and their partners.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, not much. Most of what I find that I get frustrated with are things that I don't know about and am still learning - for instance, I didn't know how to set a goal line until today. The good news - it's SO easy once you learn! Great staff and Domo University helps you along the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have analyzed our funnel, assessed our customer experiences, and explored new insights in real time. We just can't do this any other way.

Talk to a sales person and ask to talk to a current user. They're happy to connect you and other users will give you their real experiences.
