What do you like best about the product?
It is flexible, comprehensive in its functionalities and has support in our native language. It also have a lengthy Hyland University curriculum.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it is complex for a beginner programmer hence the learning curve is steep.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us take the Bank to the next level on ur digitalization vision.

OnBase brought our company into the future

What do you like best about the product?
OnBase is a user friendly, efficient solution to our AP needs. Prior to OnBase we were still processing everything on paper, and now we can do everything electronically and it is amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
We use a LOBB broker with our ERP and it is not always updated as quickly as the OnBase solution, so it limits our ability to be on the latest release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OnBase allows us to be completely paperless and enforces correct approval chains. It also makes it very easy to see a full picture of all AP at any given time.

What do you like best about the product?
We use OnBase for AP and it has greatly improved our processes. We have eliminated the need for paper invoices and storage. It allows us process invoices much faster as it goes through approvals quickly and doesn't need to be passed around for approvals. It also provides reporting tools and allows us to research invoices easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use the Line of Business Broker which occassionally has some connection issues. I the LOBB is down, we can't use OnBase at all since there is no connection. A recommended improvement would be for it to cache the GL coding so that it can be used if the connection is down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now paperless with AP which is saving on storage space and offsite storage. It also allows for approvals while individuals are traveling and we no longer have to wait until they return to physically approve the invoice. We can process invoices much faster this way.

customer support is great and we love being in the cloud

Only downside at this time is ease of finding scanned documents for the providers

Very useful multi faceted ECM

What do you like best about the product?
Developing and using the OnBase Workflow and Workview applications are easy to understand and work with. Giving the opportunity to find many solutions within the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the rules based process of OnBase workflow doesn't allow a good process for when someone makes a mistake. Because it goes step by step, anything that throws that off seems to affect an item either immediately or further down the line.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OnBase has done a great job of eliminating the massive amounts of paper that we used to use. In fact the space once used for file cabinets is not replaced with 25 employees.

Very power platform with numerous capabilities and features that we can take advantage of

Pricing. Too many licenses per component. Would be better priced as an enterprise platform with all components in play

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution for document management and process management.

How has it helped my organization?

The solution interconnects areas and allows for real-time information.

What is most valuable?

The solution's most valuable features are integration and flexibility. Allows you to manage all types of organizational information content

What needs improvement?

The solution’s initial setup is a little complex. The look and feel need improvement as well.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Hyland OnBase for eight years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Th stability is okay.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution’s scalability is excellent. Around 80 users are using the solution in our organization.

How are customer service and support?

The technical support team takes time to resolve a ticket.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used SharePoint and knowledge tree. We switched to Hyland OnBase because SharePoint doesn't provide much flexibility.

How was the initial setup?

The solution’s initial setup is a little complex. The deployment took around six months. Three people, including an administrator, were involved in the solution's deployment. The solution is deployed on the Hyland cloud.

What about the implementation team?

A vendor team implemented the solution and I would rate them an eight.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution costs around $5,000 per month. It is very relative.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I valuated other options.

What other advice do I have?

The solution helps with compliance and data security. I would recommend the solution to other users because of its stability, flexibility, and security.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
