Simple and powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Provides a simple and clean interface to connect the database to my web applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced issues using MongoDB with macOS High Serria. There is some problem regarding the updated file system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Atlas I can use a single server to handle all my database needs and if I need to scale out in the future I'm confident in MongoDB's sharding feature to handle a higher throughput.

Atlas is a comprehensive solution that is both easy to use and powerful. It provides a range of powerful features without requiring a high learning curve like some of its competitors.

What do you like best about the product?
MongoDB Atlas supports geolocation data and can show points on a map. That benefit alone is already bypassing many other alternatives. Also, the user interface of Atlas is easy to understand and doesn't require too many effort to learn its query language syntax.
What do you dislike about the product?
The relational database users always say, "MongoDB will search from beginning to the end in order to find a record. It will take a long time when the record is stored close to the end. " Many people doesn't know that MongoDB uses index.

The simplicity to be able to deploy my applications in a minimum of time

They should give the option to be able to use the free backups in the free version

Being able to use the database as a cluster has increased the performance of our application with respect to an isolated installation of mongoDB. In addition, it allows us to forget about the infrastructure and we only devote ourselves to developing

What do you like best about the product?
The time required to host your database and get it up and running is literally of the order of minutes.It's very fast and the free tier is quite generous and good enough for trying out ideas.

Free tier does not allow query profiling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud hosting of database for a resource management application. We were able to complete the development of the application within the free tier of 512 MB.

The scale of it, and being able to spin up a cluster in seconds in any of the three big clouds

The lack of being able to customize the cluster itself, like being able to change the base conf file.
