We are currently using Druva to back up all the files on laptops. I work in the hospitality industry, specifically at Marriott. There are users who travel from place to place and carry laptops. For users who travel occasionally, we install Druva on their laptops so that all their files get backed up in the cloud. In some cases, laptops have been stolen from our employee cars. In those situations, we are able to restore all the files directly from their Druva repository in the cloud.

Druva: The best backup software on the market with the best support
What do you like best about the product?
This backup software is great and easy to use. There are plenty of options for backing up as well. VMWare, Hyper-V, File Servers, MS-SQL, NAS, Oracle, SAP HANA and Nutanix AHV. Not only are the many options quite easy to set up but the support and onboarding teams are unmatched.
Another great thing that I like about Druva is the ability to restore into a sandbox environment that is supplied by Druva to test and make sure that the restore will work as I need it to before restoring into my actual environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far it has been excellent and I don't have any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of backing up and restoring multiple Virtual hosts as well as storage devices, MS-SQL server and Hyper-V hosts as well. Another benefit is having great support that helps you almost immediately and a great onboarding team that will help you every step of the way. The sandbox environment is also a massive plus to the software. Veeam was great but the data management side of it was not, using Druva and backing up to the cloud removes the data management side of backing up (mostly).

Quick to configure and deploy, clear and concise management dashboard, removes on premise hardware for backups.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model requires estimation over backup data volumes at the beginning and then may require some fine tuning to adhere to the credits purchased.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Druva helps us with the headache of managing backup datasets, ensuring they are replicated off site to a secure location and then challenge of restoring data in a timely manner. Since the solution was implemented these problems have been removed.

What do you like best about the product?
It is user friendly, Its airgapped architecture enables seamless backup and restore functionalities. Single pane of glass enables a frictionless experience.

No functionality for yearly Backups for end users for compliance will make it a even better product.

Druva...Making backups easier and secure
What do you like best about the product?
The initial setup of Druva was one of the more simplier setups Ive ever done in my 12 years of IT. The engineer from Druva was very helpful. The cloud to cloud setup allows me not have a huge footprint in my virtual enviorment unlike with Veeam and 11:11 where it took 6 VMs for the backups to work. It was easy to intergrate with or M365 tenant, just setup it and let it go!

No downsides so far! Weve been using it for 2 months now and everything has been smooth.

It helped us reduce our footprint in our virtual enviorment and saved us money from our previous backup solution for M265.

K-12 schools often struggle with securing and backing up large volumes of sensitive student data, teacher records, and administrative information. Druva offers automated data backup across multiple environments (cloud, endpoints, and SaaS applications), ensuring that critical data is consistently protected and can be quickly restored in case of an incident.
Very good DR solution

We are using tool as a backup solution, and DR Drill solution where it helps us in migrating ec2, security groups, vpc, nat gateway, internet gateway, route tables, etc. from one region to another region in a quick time by maintaining the same IP address.

Only dislike right now is not having serverless in aws in druva

Major problem is the DR drill which we perform yearly once for the audit and it's very smooth if we are doing with the help of Druva.

What do you like best about the product?
Thing I like the best about Druva Data Security Cloud is its seamless integration with our existing infrastructure. Druva's automated backups have significantly reduced the workload on our IT department which allows us to focus more on strategic tasks rather than routine data protection. Also druva's customer service is amazing. Whenever we've had questions or needed support their team has been incredibly responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Budgeting was difficult at first since it was difficult to keep track of Druva's credit usage but due to their new cost consumption reports it's fairly easy to access and get a breakdown of cost and credits through Druva console.

Druva Data Security Cloud has been a game changer for us in handling data protection and disaster recovery. I've managed both server and database backups with Druva. It really simplified our IT operations allowing us to save time and focus on more important projects.

Druva enables us to back up laptops efficiently so that we can restore files if the laptops are stolen.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of Druva is that it can detect changes in files or laptops and perform incremental backups. Furthermore, the backup process is quick and doesn't take much time.
What needs improvement?
I suggest improvements in the time it takes to restore data. Also, the reports we can generate have limited features. There is a limitation in the advanced reporting features, such as understanding how many files are in the backup, which users are actively using it, and how many files have been backed up properly.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using Druva since 2019, which is about five years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Over the past five years, I haven't experienced any issues or problems with Druva. I have not received any complaints from users, indicating that it has been working smoothly.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is difficult to comment on scalability because we are only using the basic features. However, we have never faced any issue in that regard.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support from Druva is commendable. Their response is usually quick, and I have contacted them only a couple of times for accessing certain features. Each time the response was prompt.

Before Druva, we used different solutions for backups. Currently, we also use Veeam for servers and Druva for laptops.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of Druva is basic and easy. Installation takes less than two or three minutes.
What about the implementation team?
The firewall system is managed by a third-party company for all our hotels.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We pay Druva for the backup application on a monthly basis. Compared to other applications that we are paying for, Druva's pricing is fair. It is not cheap or expensive.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We have used Datto and Veeam for some of our backup needs.
What other advice do I have?
For personal backups of laptops and computers, I recommend Druva due to its ease of use. However, I cannot speak to its features for advanced applications.
I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.
