What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for five years, primarily for academic purposes, and it has been incredibly valuable to me. I love how easy it was to set up initially, with no difficulties at all. The most significant benefit I have found is the ability to share files effortlessly with colleagues and students, which is invaluable for collaboration. This sharing capability is the major feature I appreciate the most about Dropbox, as it greatly enhances my ability to work with others. Additionally, being able to save files in the cloud and access them from anywhere is highly beneficial. This flexibility means I can manage and retrieve files from any location, which is definitely useful for my academic work. Overall, Dropbox has proven to be an essential tool for file management and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the limited amount of storage space available on Dropbox. This constraint makes it challenging to save all the necessary files without worrying about running out of space. Increasing the available storage would greatly improve my experience and usability of the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dropbox: Reliable Cloud Solution with Room for Online Interface Improvement

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive and easy it is to set up Dropbox, creating folders effortlessly to organize my files and share them efficiently with clients. The simplicity in sending each folder for deliveries is impressive, providing a seamless experience for organizing projects annually. I find Dropbox's cloud storage tremendously beneficial as it offers a single, organized place for all my projects. I also appreciate Dropbox Paper; its usefulness in collaborating on projects with shared to-do lists has significantly aided my team dynamic. The enhanced professionalism of Dropbox compared to Google Drive made it my choice for client deliveries, and I am especially pleased with the ease of sharing files using Dropbox. Furthermore, I enjoy using Microsoft Office in conjunction with Dropbox, like managing Excel sheets directly within a Dropbox folder, though I do not heavily rely on integrations. The noteworthy competitive pricing and continual advancements are crucial, ensuring Dropbox remains an attractive service compared to alternatives like Google Drive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the folder structure in Dropbox's online browser version can be somewhat clunky, making it difficult to navigate compared to the desktop version, which is more streamlined. This sometimes complicates my workflow online. I'm also concerned about the discontinuation of Dropbox Paper from the mobile version, as it is a tool I find valuable for collaboration. Additionally, I'm disappointed that Dropbox Passwords is being discontinued, as I enjoyed using it and now have to transition to a different password manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox organizes my files in the cloud for client deliveries and projects, providing a centralized system that benefits me with organized access to all project files.

Reliable File Sharing with Room for Improvement

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Dropbox for its ability to share large files that are too big to email such as audio, video, CAD files, huge PDFs, and big photos, without having to shrink or compromise them. It's incredibly beneficial for us as it allows seamless sharing as long as we have enough storage space. Additionally, the flexibility to organize files into folders and share them with different groups based on project requirements is invaluable. I also love that Dropbox offers scalable storage options to align with our needs and budget.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the process of sharing files on Dropbox increasingly confusing and not as straightforward as I'd like, particularly with the different methods such as shared folders and shared files. It often becomes problematic when sharing with others who have limited space in their Dropbox, as the system tries to add the file to their Dropbox, which could be full. This limitation makes it difficult for others to access files directly from my Dropbox. Furthermore, I'd appreciate the option in the sharing menu to allow files to be shared directly from my Dropbox without them being added to the recipient's Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to share large files like audio, video, and CAD files that are too big for email, allowing us to send anything we want without compromising file quality.
