Digital sharing has replaced bulky paperwork and now allows photo and document links for everyone

    Reviewed on Dec 06, 2025
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Dropbox Sign  is that people upload their photos on Dropbox and send me the Dropbox link. A quick specific example of a document I typically handle with Dropbox Sign  is mostly photos, but also other documents and papers. I also use it for university to share pages.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Dropbox Sign offers include having a Dropbox account, but you can use Dropbox even if you are not signed in. That feature helps me and my team because if I upload something on Dropbox, I can send the link also to those who do not have Dropbox. This is very useful because you do not need to be subscribed to download something from the site.

Dropbox Sign has positively impacted my organization because I can upload something on Dropbox without the physical paper of all my documents. This allows me to travel more lightly. Specific benefits include saving time.

    What needs improvement?

Dropbox Sign can be improved because with some types of connection, I cannot use Dropbox. I do not know why. The needed improvements mostly relate to a network issue. However, on some devices, the app is more simple. I notice differences between the app on Apple and Microsoft.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Dropbox Sign for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Dropbox Sign is stable for me.

How are customer service and support?

I have never contacted customer support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used WeTransfer before Dropbox Sign.

    How was the initial setup?

Dropbox Sign is deployed in my organization by our boss sending us the Dropbox links.

    What about the implementation team?

I purchased Dropbox Sign directly from Dropbox.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment because I have reduced a lot of paperwork, but I do not pay for paperwork, so I think it is a sort of investment for my office.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I do not know about the pricing, setup cost, and licensing. My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that it is easy to understand. It is straightforward for me; I do not find any part confusing or expensive.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate any options before choosing Dropbox Sign.

What other advice do I have?

I would give advice to others looking into using Dropbox Sign to suggest they use Dropbox because you can use it also without a subscription. I would rate this product an eight out of ten.

Digital signing has streamlined document approvals but has remained underused in daily work

    Reviewed on Dec 05, 2025
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Dropbox Sign  is sharing folders and files with other people.

I used Dropbox Sign  in a recent situation at work when I had to share some PPT or code and we could not use the client's systems, so we decided to use Dropbox to do it.

I do use Dropbox Sign for document signing and approvals.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Dropbox Sign offers include the signing part for the files.

I can prepare documents for signing by placing signature fields and customizing the layout, and I find it very helpful to sign the documents.

Dropbox Sign positively impacts my organization because it makes my work easy. The signing part of the files is very fast now.

    What needs improvement?

I cannot think of any improvements for Dropbox Sign at this time.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Dropbox Sign for about two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Dropbox Sign is stable in my experience.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I do not know how Dropbox Sign's scalability is for my needs.

How are customer service and support?

I have never tried the customer support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution before Dropbox Sign.

    What was our ROI?

I have not seen a return on investment and cannot share any relevant metrics such as time saved or fewer employees needed.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I have had no experience with pricing, setup cost, or licensing.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Dropbox Sign, I did not evaluate other options because it was suggested to me.

What other advice do I have?

I rate Dropbox Sign a seven out of ten.

I give it a seven because I have not used all the features of Dropbox Sign, so I do not know it in-depth.

My advice for others looking into using Dropbox Sign is to understand how to use it correctly before starting.

Dependable Cloud Storage with Room for Improvement

    Reviewed on Dec 05, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Dropbox for its easy-to-use interface that simplifies uploading, organizing, and sharing files. The syncing is reliable and quick across devices, which is crucial when I'm working across different platforms. Dropbox is also fantastic for collaboration with its shared folders and commenting capabilities, making teamwork much easier. The strong version history provides peace of mind, allowing me to restore older versions of files if needed. I appreciate that Dropbox works on almost any device, from Windows and Mac to iOS and Android. The integration with apps like Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is really helpful for productivity. Lastly, the simple and clean design without clutter makes navigating the platform a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
    1. High Pricing Compared to Competitors: Dropbox tends to cost more than services like Google Drive, OneDrive, or iCloud—especially for large storage plans. Some useful features (like extended version history) require even more expensive upgrades. 2. Limited Free Storage: The free plan only offers 2GB, which fills up quickly. Most competitors give 5GB–15GB for free. 3. Web Interface Can Feel Basic: While the desktop app is great, the web interface can feel limited when doing detailed file management like bulk actions or advanced sorting. 4. Smart Sync Can Be Slow to Load Thumbnails: If you use Smart Sync or online-only folders, sometimes previews take a while to load, especially for large files. 5. Collaboration Features Not as Deep as Others: Dropbox works well for basic file sharing, but Google Drive still wins for real-time document editing and integrated productivity tools. 6. Privacy Options Could Be Clearer: Dropbox is secure, but some users want more transparent controls or easier ways to manage advanced privacy settings. 7. No "Offline Editing" for Dropbox Paper: Dropbox Paper (their notes/collaboration tool) can’t be fully used offline, which frustrates users who work without stable internet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is dependable for cloud storage with a clean, intuitive interface. It offers fast, consistent syncing across devices, helpful for collaboration and file organization. It simplifies cross-platform work and file recovery, but could improve on pricing and privacy options.

Dropbox Makes Large File Transfers Effortless and Cost-Effective

    Reviewed on Dec 05, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is excellent for sending very large files. In my experience, it's the most efficient and cost-effective method available.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any drawbacks to using Dropbox. As far as I know, it's the only method I have for transferring large files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When file size is too large to email, I simply Dropbox it for my intended recipient. That is so much more efficient than trying to compress the large file or sending a flash drive.

    Reviewed on Dec 03, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Dropbox is how easy it is to store and access my files from anywhere. The synching is fast, reliable, and sharing files with others is a couple of clicks away.
What do you dislike about the product?
The storage upgrades can feel a bit expensive, especially if you only need a small increase. More flexible plan options would be good.,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps keeping files organized and accessible across all devices. There is no worry about losing documents or emailing files back and forth. Everything is stored in one place, which saves time and keeps work organized.
