Effortless File Sharing, Long-Time Reliability with Dropbox
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Dropbox's ability to simplify the organization of my work files and the secure delivery of these files to clients through shared links. The initial setup was incredibly easy, which saved me time and effort. Dropbox effectively resolves the problem of emailing or storing large files that need dissemination to multiple people. I find the platform's consistency, particularly in not changing links once they are updated, to be reliable compared to other services like WeTransfer. Sharing large files, usually media files or content too large to email, is seamless and straightforward. This feature of copying and pasting a link into an email for others to review or download is incredibly useful. Additionally, the backup safety features provide peace of mind in case my local drive's data is overwritten or lost. The integration with other software like the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and AI tools through API and developer app connections enhances my workflow significantly. I also find the pricing to be reasonable and affordable, ensuring the value for money is maintained. My entire repository is built into Dropbox, which makes it a central component of my work processes. Despite the evolving needs, I find no reason to switch, as Dropbox continuously meets all my requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how Dropbox handles storage space when sharing files. It seems unnecessary that sharing files between users results in taking up storage space from both accounts for the same asset. This aspect feels a bit overbearing on storage plans, as the same amount of storage is deducted from multiple accounts which can be quite limiting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to organize and share large work files with clients via shareable links, solving issues of emailing large files. It ensures consistency, as links remain unchanged even after updates, and offers backup features for data safety.
