Effortlessly Handles Large Files, Minor Usability Improvements Needed
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for about four to five years, primarily as an architect and artist. I appreciate Dropbox's ability to transmit large files such as architectural drawings and PDFs, which are often too large for standard email, making my workflow much smoother. This functionality is especially helpful for sending content to clients and contractors. Additionally, in my artistic work, I frequently send videos and movies to models and others, and Dropbox handles these large files efficiently. The setup process was relatively easy, which was a relief, and I have been able to integrate Dropbox with software like Keynote and a CAD program called Chief Architect on my Mac computer. These integrations work quite well for my needs. I also find the feature of receiving feedback from recipients through Dropbox transfers particularly useful, especially when dealing with time-sensitive content. Dropbox's reliability and additional features make it a tried and true solution, and I would certainly recommend buying it again.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the specialized services like the transfer feature can be a bit tricky to find in the menu. It would be beneficial if it were made a little clearer and more user-friendly. Additionally, when I send files to recipients who do not have Dropbox, they often face reluctance to start using it or encounter difficulty accessing all the information. Simplifying this process for users who do not already have Dropbox would certainly help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to send large drawings, PDFs, and videos, which are too big for email, efficiently to clients and contractors. It's been very helpful for sharing artistic and professional work, facilitating seamless transfer of large documents and receiving feedback easily.
Fantastic Transcribe Feature, But Needs App Integration

I love the transcribe feature for voice recordings. Although I wish this was also available in the app version and not just the web.

Helps the team keep track of both active and past projects and also share materials seamlessly btw internal and external stakeholders
Great for Team Sharing, But Storage and Database Limits Hold It Back

Limited storage space availability. Inability to store mySQL or PostgreSQL database Clusters on Dropbox.

I have been using Dropbox for a long time, and it has become an integral part of my daily workflow. What I appreciate most is its simplicity and ease of use, which are perfect for someone like me who isn't very familiar with technology. Dropbox makes my life much easier with its intuitive interface that requires no complex tricks or knowledge to operate. I find that sharing files with mentors and colleagues is incredibly convenient, as I don't have to worry about the size of the files. The flexibility Dropbox provides when it comes to sharing files is outstanding. I particularly enjoy being able to choose exactly who to share files with, and the process is straightforward and clear. Whether it's word documents, audios, videos, or photos, Dropbox handles them efficiently. The sharing capabilities make it not only flexible but also very fast and handy to use, assisting me immensely in delivering materials for my courses. Overall, Dropbox is a very clear and accessible tool that consistently helps me manage my files and collaborate with others without any frustration.

I wish it had more space to put things. I have lots of files and not to pay much for that.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for between 5 to 8 years mainly for document storage and expense tracking. One of the standout features that I love is the scan functionality, which allows me to quickly scan documents and upload them to the cloud with just a few clicks. This is incredibly useful for managing receipts and physical documents, as it helps me save space by getting rid of the physical documents after scanning them. The scanner is very efficient, with smart suggestions on where to save a scanned document, auto-detection during scanning, and auto-editing that enhances the clarity of the images. Additionally, the intuitive folder structure and single sign-on feature made the initial setup a seamless experience, which I greatly appreciated.
