Great for Team File Sharing, but Free Storage Is Limited
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to have large files (especially image assets) easily accessible for multiple team members, regardless of the tech stack used. It's easy to use and implement, and we find ourselves using Dropbox daily to share our ongoing and finalized work internally and with clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Free version runs out of storage space quickly for someone in marketing/graphic design (we have extremely large files).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is helping us have a centralized location for our assets, both internally and for external clients. Anyone can access (don't need a company email address, like with some storage platforms). Additionally, Dropbox is intuitive and easy to use, which means I don't need to spend much time onboarding new users internally.
Reliable Storage but Pricey with unwanted features

If I had to highlight the single best aspect of Dropbox—the feature that keeps me loyal even with so many alternatives available—it would be its truly seamless and immediate file synchronization.
I depend on the desktop folder every day for my work, and what stands out most about Dropbox is how it quietly does its job without any fuss. I never have to double-check whether a file I saved on my work PC has appeared on my personal Mac or my phone; I can trust that it’s there. This unwavering, cross-platform dependability means I always have access to the latest version of any document, photo, or project file, no matter which device I’m using. That core reliability and effortless accessibility are what make Dropbox an essential tool in my digital routine.

What do you dislike about the product?
Although Dropbox excels at synchronization, my main issue lies with its overall value and what feels like unnecessary feature expansion. The paid plans seem expensive, especially considering the limited 2GB of free storage, which is far less generous than what many competitors provide. Additionally, for a platform that emphasizes file security, I find it disappointing that true zero-knowledge encryption isn't standard on most plans. This makes me hesitant to trust Dropbox with my most sensitive files. Lastly, the desktop app, which I once appreciated for its simplicity, now feels overloaded with extra features like Capture and Dash. These additions sometimes add complexity and can even cause sync conflicts, when all I really want is dependable, straightforward cloud storage.

The challenges that Dropbox addresses may seem straightforward, but their impact on my daily productivity is truly transformative. It has effectively removed two significant obstacles: reliance on specific devices and the constant worry about losing important data.
In the past, forgetting my laptop meant I was unable to get any work done. With Dropbox, I no longer have to be concerned about which device holds the most up-to-date version of a document. The latest version is always stored in the cloud, ready to be accessed from any browser or mobile device. This flexibility is its greatest strength, allowing me to move seamlessly between my desktop, tablet, or even a client’s computer without any disruption.
Even more valuable is the peace of mind Dropbox provides as an invisible backup and safety net. Its reliable file recovery and version history features mean that accidental saves or deletions—which once could have been catastrophic—are now easily resolved. Dropbox has eliminated the issues of isolated files and data vulnerability, allowing me to devote my attention to my actual work rather than the mundane tasks of saving and transferring files.

Reliable Cloud Storage with Top Security, but Pricey and Limited for Healthcare Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
It is a most trusted cloud storage and file sharing platform. It has real time file synchronisation across multiple devices. It has advanced security features including two factor authentication and encrypted transfers. Easy sharing and permission management also there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only one pain, it has higher cost. Limited compliance tools for sensitive healthcare data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used drop box in storing and sharing medical reports, lab results and patient documents. And authorised to access those to doctors, nurses and patients.
Great Storage Space, No Major Drawbacks
What do you like best about the product?
Storage space. It is more generous than other platforms.

Sometimes, when the offers end and the risk of losing space if you don't pay.

Capable Alternative To DocuSign and Google Drive
What do you like best about the product?
DropBox combines the best features of other tools in one place– external sharing, document collection points, fillable forms, signature requests and more. Customer support has been fast and knowledgeable when I have needed them and implementation for a small team (about 10 users) only took us a week from demo to actual use.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to send more than a few documents for signature each month, you must purchase DropBox Sign licenses. This dual license structure is confusing and seemly overly complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Google Drive, but find that external sharing can be a security risk because all of our company documents are stored in Drive. DropBox serves as a more intentional sharing tool with features that Drive does not offer (form building, sharing to emails without making documents public, etc).

I like how intuitive the interface is, and that it makes my workflow, flow.

the syncing issues can be a bit annoying

it is our server essentially, everything is kept on there and we track file updates and feedback through DropBox comments

Its integrations with a lot of apps and the usage it has across the world. I like that, because a lot of people use it, it is very likely that I find dropbox links for the stuff I search to download online.

Nothing really, it just is not that extensive as Google Drive, but I still use dropbox for the ease of use.

It is one of my cloud storages for files across multiple devices, such as my two PCs and my phone.
