Great Free Sharing Features, Minor Issues with Drive Mapping

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This is an excellent free service that lets you connect up to three devices to access your cloud storage materials. You have the option to share these materials either publicly or privately, rather than being limited to personal storage. The sharing feature also generates shorter links for easier access. Additionally, you can view a variety of materials online, even if your device does not natively support the file format.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had some complications using DropBox along with another drive mapping software. Have felt that OneDrive has advantages over DropBox for the Office 365 online services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bridging the gap of materials being cross-community assessible.

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is an easy-to-use software for backing up important documents, files, photos and more. The software saves what is on your selected folders/hard drive to a web-based service. What I also like about Dropbox is that I can use it to have access to my files across multiple computers. Even when going from my Apple laptop to a desktop PC, I can access my files by using Dropbox. I use Dropbox every day since I'm writing new word documents every day, from home and work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any complaints about Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox makes it easy for me to access and back up my work on several computers. Even when I'm using a computer that isn't mine, I can simply log in to Dropbox and get to my files.

Reliable Storage with Need for Interface Improvements

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I value Dropbox’s ability to store and share files effortlessly from anywhere, which is extremely helpful as it ensures I can access my data on multiple devices without needing to consume space on each. The functionality for syncing applications and software between personal and work setups is excellent, and Dropbox's primary storage utility allows me to access tools like KeePass from anywhere without having to manage distributed systems. Dropbox has been my main choice since I began using it and remains the only one I pay for, demonstrating its importance in my daily routine. I use Dropbox every day for file storage and retrieval, which is vital for both my personal and professional needs. The reliable access and archival capabilities make it an ideal choice for storing diverse information, including sensitive data and three-dimensional printing details, ensuring everything is conveniently centralized and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the interface on Dropbox to be clunky, particularly on the web. The desktop interface seems limited to just viewing activities, which can make it more difficult when trying to resolve conflicts or issues with sharing. Overall, the navigation and usability could be more polished and user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for file storage, backup, and syncing between devices. It saves my data in cases of hard drive failures and allows access to files from anywhere, improving accessibility and security for crucial files.
