Effortless File Sharing and Collaboration with Dropbox

  • December 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox makes file storage and sharing simple and reliable. I like how easy it is to organize folders, sync files across devices, and collaborate with others in real time. Sharing large files is fast and secure, and version history has been especially helpful when working with multiple drafts or recovering older files.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside is cost as storage tiers can get expensive compared to some alternatives. Occasionally, syncing can lag when dealing with very large folders, and advance admin features are limited unless you are on higher tier plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of storing, organizing, and securely sharing files across teams and devices. It allows me to collaborate in real time, maintain version control, and access important documents from anywhere. This has reduced email back and forth, improved workflow efficiency, and made collaboration with colleagues much more streamlined.

Effortless File Accessibility Across All Devices

  • December 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Dropbox to be the easiest way to keep all my files in one place that's easily accessible from all my devices no matter where I am. It's been around forever, and I've been using it for years, which speaks to its reliability. What I like is that it syncs all of my files in the background, so I just set it up once, and then it starts syncing for me. Dropbox is a well-known name, and it also allows me to share files without sharing files. I can share a link to a file, which is really useful for sharing with clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when someone shares a link to a folder or adds me to a file, they might use one of my other email addresses, not the main one I use for my Dropbox account. It would be nice to be able to redirect it instantly to the email address I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for easy access to my files across all my devices, no matter where I am. It's reliable and allows me to share files by sending a link. I set it up once, and it syncs all my files in the background.

Seamless Collaboration, Impressive Cross-Platform Performance

  • December 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Dropbox's clean and intuitive interface. It's very easy to manage permissions and generate sharing links with just a right click. I love how the mobile app works, being able to preview large files or even sign PDFs on my phone while I'm away from my desk is a huge plus. The seamless transition from mobile to desktop is great for my workflow. I find the document scanning feature on the mobile app to be a huge time saver. I can scan a physical contract or a sketch on my phone and it's instantly available in my desktop file explorer as a PDF. Dropbox feels much more platform agnostic; it works perfectly whether someone is on Mac or PC. The initial setup was very straightforward, just download the desktop app and login. I really liked that it integrated directly into my computer file explorer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Dropbox is becoming a bit overcomplicated with extra features I don't necessarily need like the password manager or specialized editing tools. Sometimes the interface feels a little noisy with prompts to try new products when I really just want to focus on my files. Finding files in large team folders still feels like a manual chore. The current search relies heavily on exact file names, which is difficult when different team members use different naming conventions. The reason I rate Dropbox a 9 instead of a 10 is the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the accessibility gap, allowing me to give clients 'view-only' access without exposing internal workflows. The document scanning feature on the mobile app is a huge time saver, making files instantly available on desktop as PDFs.

What do you like best about the product?
Best thing about Dropbox is how it is simple and reliable it makes managing files across devices while still letting you work with others easily. It is easy to use and implement, with reliable syncing and frequent everyday use, offers responsive customer support, and integrates smoothly with major productivity tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Main drawbacks include its very high cost as storage needs grow and the limited space offered on the free plan. When working with large files, syncing is a bit slow, and a few advanced features are very difficult to understand, requiring some time to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox actually helps solve the problem of storing, syncing, and sharing large video files securely across teams and devices. It allows us to collaborate easily with editors and clients, manage different versions of files, and access content from anywhere, which saves time and improves workflow efficiency. I started using it when I ran out of storage on Gmail/Google drive.

What do you like best about the product?
I am using Dropbox for secure file sharing and secure storage, and I find its large file support very helpful. Dropbox's speed and security make it the best choice for me. The secure login provides higher security, and I appreciate the accessibility from different devices simultaneously. Dropbox is also too easy to use and set up.

Reliable Cloud Storage with Great Collaboration Features

  • December 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how simple and reliable Dropbox is. It works quietly in the background, keeping all my files synced effortlessly. I love that I don’t have to think about saving or transferring files—it just happens automatically. The file sharing is incredibly easy too. With just one link, I can share files or folders with anyone, and I have control over whether they can view or edit them, which makes collaboration so much smoother. It's also great that Dropbox works well on all devices. Whether I'm using a phone, laptop, or tablet, my files are always there and up to date. Overall, its ease of use, smooth syncing, and dependable performance are what I like most about Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that doesn’t work as well for me is the limited storage in the free version. It fills up quickly, especially when storing photos or videos, which can be frustrating. The paid plans also feel a bit expensive compared to some other cloud storage options. Another area that could be improved is file organization. When you have many files and folders, it can sometimes feel a little cluttered, and better built-in tools for managing or cleaning up files would help. Also, while Dropbox is generally fast, syncing can occasionally slow down when dealing with very large files or weak internet connections. Improving sync speed and giving clearer sync status updates would make the experience even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox lets me store all my important files safely, access them from anywhere, and simplifies file sharing. It prevents data loss and makes teamwork easier with shared folders. Overall, it saves time, reduces stress, and organizes my work.
