Best file sharing tool for Graphic Design related projects

  • May 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a graphic design professional, and project manager, dropbox is my go to. I like the fact that you can still use a physcial "folder" to drop things in and out, compared to Google Drive, or One drive. It's just more user friendly and intuitive. It allows people who have particular organization to seamless navigate large amount of data on computer settings, (what Google Dirve couldn't match), while quickly search items on mobile device with simple grab and go or drop in. I strongly believe many graphic design, print and production professionals would agree with me on this.
What do you dislike about the product?
the price is a bit high for most of the companies I work for. It only works if everyone on the team is using it heavily. which is not possible. if you can have plans that are more affordable for small business/ small team (1-3 people) that are similar to iCloud's prizing ($2.99 month/$4.99 month/ 12.99 month at max) it will be more workable with independent freelancer and small business. Otherwise most decision makers will just use Google drive as it's free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files or files with complicated structures (sub folders) for projects between internal and external collaborators.
Offer flexible organization.

Intuitive interface

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the desktop version allows me to treat Dropbox as a folder on my computer. What's even better is that I don't have to link all folders within my Dropbox for the desktop version to save space. It makes keeping on top of the newest version of my most often used files a breeze. Also, it's a great relief to know that I no longer have to carry a physical storage device to have access to my files wherever I am.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes notice that the Dropbox app takes up a lot of memory (both on my computer and my phone). That sometimes requires me to close the app to get other things done. I know it's inevitable, but want the app to optimize/minimize its memory use when not being actively used.
Another thing that I don't like about Dropbox is that sometimes it asks me to verify my log-in details when I access the site from a new place. I mean, the whole point of having Dropbox is to have that universal access. This can be particularly annoying when I'm in a hurry to pull up a file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to keep in touch instantaneously with my collaborators as we make progress on our project as everyone can access the latest version without any glitches/delays.

What do you like best about the product?
like how easy it is to upload, organize, and access my files across devices. The interface is clean, and I never have to worry about losing anything important.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free storage is a bit limited compared to other platforms. Also, sometimes the desktop app can feel heavy or slow to start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problem of file accessibility and version control. I no longer have to email files to myself or worry about using the wrong version—everything stays synced across my devices. It’s also made group work much easier because I can share folders, track changes, and avoid confusion about who has the latest file. It saves time and keeps things organized.
