Dropbox has been life changing to use as file storage and have as a backup.

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
File backup! It automatically backs all of my files up onto the cloud and it takes them off my computer when I haven't used them in a while but allows me to access them directly from my desktop when needed. Download from dropbox usually happens quite quickly if I do need a file that has been sent to the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
No huge dislikes, but I have found some people find it hard to download files from dropbox when sending them over and I am not sure if this is a user error or dropbox error as I haven't experienced this myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File storage, we do not have enough room for large marketing files on the shared drive so I store them all on dropbox rather than taking up the room on the shared drive. It allows me to access my files from wherever I am working, as well.

Dropbox is a complete solution

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Dropbox for well over a decade now. It's a complete solution for me. It allows me to keep my "working" files up to date on both my desktop and my laptop, plus I can also access my files on the go on my mobile. Dropbox also has a great integration with other platforms allowing them to create files on your behalf that you can then review.

No longer do I have to carry a USB flash drive, all my files are either on my own devices or, in the event I need to work on something unexpectedly on another computer that's not mine I can simply log in to the web and either edit my files in dropbox or download them, edit them and re-upload them.

I would be lost without Dropbox, I use it on a daily basis and it's by far the best of the file sharing apps.

It was easy to set up my account, easy to download and install the windows app and the iPhone app as well.

The software and platform is that good I've never had any need to even contact customer support in all my years as a user.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm yet to come across anything I don't like about the platform. It just does exactly what it promises to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me constant access to my files on my own computers, on my iPhone on the go and online.

Fast, Reliable, and Incredibly Convenient

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who manages multiple projects and collaborates with cross-functional teams, Dropbox has become a key part of how I stay organized and efficient. The ability to store large files in the cloud has helped keep my computer running smoothly. I’ve noticed less strain on local storage, which translates to faster performance and fewer slowdowns during the workday.

Dropbox’s syncing is fast and reliable. Whether I’m working on a file from my laptop or switching to my phone during a meeting, I know the latest version will be ready and waiting. That kind of seamless access saves time and removes the need for manual transfers or version control headaches.

One of the features I appreciate most is how easy it is to share files with colleagues, vendors, and external partners. With just a few clicks, I can set up shared folders or send direct links with customized permissions. It’s secure, straightforward, and looks professional on the receiving end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes others are a little confused by the browser links that are shared. They think they have to create an account, but there is a download button available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is solving a few key problems for me—storage management, file accessibility, and collaboration. By moving large files off my hard drive and into the cloud, it’s helping my computer run faster and more efficiently. I no longer worry about constantly clearing space or dealing with slow performance during busy workdays.

It’s also making it much easier to access and organize files across multiple devices. Whether I’m working from my laptop at home or reviewing documents from my phone, everything is synced and up to date.

Finally, Dropbox makes file sharing simple and secure. I can easily collaborate with team members and external partners without having to send bulky email attachments or deal with version confusion. It keeps my workflow smooth and helps me stay focused on the work that matters most.

"A Reliable Tool for Business Collaboration, With Some Limitations"

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Whether I'm working on a project with team members across locations or sending files to a client, the ability to create shared folders, set permissions, and keep everything organized in one place saves a lot of time and back-and-forth. I also appreciate the automatic syncing across devices — I can start something on my laptop and pick it up on my phone without missing a beat. It's a reliable, user-friendly platform that keeps my workflow running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be frustrating when I'm trying to share large files—like project folders, videos, or high-resolution images—and the recipient either can't access them or runs into storage issues unless they upgrade their plan. This sometimes forces us to find workarounds or use alternative platforms, which interrupts the workflow. It would be great if Dropbox offered more flexibility for sharing large files with non-paid users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my business, it eliminates the need to email documents back and forth or worry about version control. I can easily store, access, and share files from anywhere, which is especially valuable when working remotely or with multiple collaborators. The ability to create shared folders, control access levels, and sync files in real time helps streamline communication, keep projects on track, and reduce errors caused by outdated versions. Overall, it saves time and keeps our workflow efficient and organized.
