Secure and User-Friendly, Ideal for Remote Access

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how secure Cisco Duo feels, and I love the mobile app. It allows me to connect remotely so that I can work from home and still share files seamlessly on our shared SharePoint. I find the push notifications to Duo for other programs that I access work well. Additionally, the setup was very easy; I just scanned a QR, downloaded the app, put in my credentials, and that was it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was one occasion where I used Cisco Duo for two factor authorization for social media, but I got locked out of my account and I needed a code from Cisco Duo which I was unable to generate, and it took some troubleshooting to get back in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cisco Duo to remotely access my work network VPN, allowing me to work from home and share files seamlessly on SharePoint.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s quick, reliable, and easy to use, with solid offline capabilities as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updating the application isn’t straightforward and often requires manual intervention. For example, winget may detect that an update is available, but the update then fails due to a version mismatch or another error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides the extra level of security we want through Multi-Factor Authentication for our servers and shared workstations in common areas.

Effortless Two-Factor Authentication with Cisco Duo

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Cisco Duo makes two-factor authentication super easy by allowing me to hold the notification and click approve instantly, which is way easier and faster compared to other systems like Google or Amazon, where you have to open an app and find a six-digit code. I also remember the initial setup being super easy, involving just scanning a QR code and entering a username and password.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not really. It's just that sometimes doing two factor authentication is annoying. Instead of just logging, I get to, like, pull my phone out and do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cisco Duo for school logins. It solves the problem of required two-factor authentication easily with notification pop-ups allowing fast approval, making it way easier than other systems.

Smooth MFA Experience with Minor Notification Glitch

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to get a push to your phone to accept or decline, which makes the multi-factor authentication process convenient. The MFA aspect is extremely important with security, and I found the initial setup of Cisco Duo to be extremely easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the push notification does not come through, and I need to open the app itself to get that push.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cisco Duo for MFA, enabling our users to securely connect to software with network rights. The push to phone feature simplifies the process by allowing us to accept or decline access easily.

Fast Push Notifications and a Self-Service Portal That Cuts Login Time

  • January 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Duo’s push notifications are faster than SMS codes and don’t require typing anything, which helps cut down login time. The self-service portal also reduces helpdesk tickets, since users can manage their own devices without needing IT intervention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Duo ends up being a single point of failure: if the service goes down or my phone dies, I’m completely locked out of everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can log in to my laptop remotely and access work-related information. Basically, my company uses it for that purpose.

Easy and Secure Access with Cisco Duo

  • January 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Cisco Duo because it makes it easy to log in and verify your identity. There are several different features you can use, not just a phone number. You can use a text message or a code. It makes it pretty easy to be able to log in quickly. Also, the initial setup was fairly easy, only taking about five to ten minutes and it came with instructions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had an issue where I had no access to one of my phones, and, unfortunately, that phone number was linked to the account, so I had to call and update it and add another number. And that kind of took a little while. So I wasn't able to log in and start work right away, which was a little frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Cisco Duo for secured access into a private server, making it easy to log in and verify identity with multiple options like text or codes.
