In the sea of "Solutions" that are more smoke and mirrors, the good ones do stand out!
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to work with, integrates with a plethora of new kids on the block. Amazing analytics which Is a must-have these days I'm afraid. Love the editor support for shared assets insertions and the preview tabs are really accurate. The most important thing is it never let my expectations down, but pushed me to learn how to use the more advanced options and it's so worth it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I've noticed (and this is on very rare occasions when I need something done in 5mins) is the Drag & Drop editor needs some extra functions revolving around the block split customizing, but there is a workaround for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great solutions for custom liquid tags, made my life easier I have to say.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I use around 9 different ESPs on a daily basis, and I have to say that Blueshift takes the cake!
Easy, Comprehensive tool
What do you like best about the product?
I find Blueshift easy to use and is easily customizable to different campaigns we are working on. The team at Blueshift is always willing to collaborate on new features if they have not already been built.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UX or the messaging in the tool can feel confusing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can track purchases in our Family product with Blueshift and other essential activities, which allows us to measure the success of our campaigns better.
Great Customer Data Platform! A welcomed upgrade from our old platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's allowed us true omnichannel marketing capabilities. Blueshift has given us one central source for our data to feed into multiple channels. We're making use of email via multiple connectors and SMS via Twilio. We are looking to add Cloud App functionality shortly to support additional channels.
We're testing firebase integration for our consumer apps division, and so far, it's looking very promising.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike we didn't make the shift from our old platform sooner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift has given us additional ways to segment our data and reach the right customer at the right time. We're working on improving deliverability on email so we can realize revenue growth.
Intuitive platform with good customer service
What do you like best about the product?
It's a comprehensive, user-friendly, robust platform with tons of cutting-edge features. Blueshift makes it super easy to build campaigns, pull reports, and look extensively into data. I've found the email heat maps extremely useful and have helped us make meaningful strides in CTA placements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Blueshift is a great platform we have ran into small quirks like GIF's not uploading correctly. Nonetheless, customer service has been great and issues are fixed rather quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift has helped us make better data-driven decisions in terms of email marketing thus far. We have such great insights into email metrics, and it's helped us with our automation strategy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are better able to send relevant and personalized content to our customers across their journey. Departments outside of marketing have a greater understanding of our efforts and their positive impact on the business.

What do you like best about the product?
Blueshift is great because you can create emails that are relevant to their user, their interests, and their interactions with our brand and website. The customer support team is always happy to help and come with solutions quickly, succinctly and work with me to make sure that I can continue to use the platform they offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the downsides with Blueshift is that there is a lot of technical requirements, which means unless there is someone on the development team who is specifically working on Blueshift, it can restrict it's usage. After all, you can't use this platform correctly without the data!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift has allowed us to send targeted recommendations to users based on a number of their attributes and attributes with the products on our website which has increased our engagement rates immensely.

Ensure that you have a good IT or development team who will be able to provide ongoing support to use Blueshift.

The implementation team understands the requirement and business needs and provides excellent guidance through the process.
Both the technical and merchandising team's support of the group is excellent.

Recent outages are a little problematic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift platform caters to the needs for us for both transaction and promotional email.
Event tagging and flexibility in the platform to ingest the data help us build excellent retention and personal campaigns.

Blueshift is an excellent platform for retention and promotional campaign. Blueshift platform caters majority of the requirement. For specific custom requirements team is very creative and open to the ideas to adjust the platform.
Data driven communication
What do you like best about the product?
That the tool is highly data-driven. It is possible to add all kinds of variables (limited to simple types excluding arrays, but it is an acceptable limitation). In addition, we can build models super quickly and also recommendations. The development already thought about recommendations built outside and incorporate this option. It is super easy to upload user attributes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike 2 things. The most important one is how difficult it is to remove attributes or events that became obsolote or were corrupted.
Blueshift help is on spot, so we always got great help, however it would be nicer if we could remove data from the system a bit easier.
The second thing that would be good to add is to have formulas on attributes for segment creation. At the moment each value can be analyzed and it is not possible to compare them. For example if I want to calculate the available income I could use income field - expenses and then apply a threshold. However because I cannot compare variable against variable I need to have the available income pre-calculated and loaded to Blueshift.

Data driven communication. We are loading tons of data to be able to do micro-segmentation for email campaings. This has proven a huge improve in conversion numbers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blueshift is an excellent tool for data-driven communications. I recommend being very mindful when adding new attributes to make sure they have the right type (as type is attributed based on the data of the first load) and always use a test account for testing to keep the production account neat.
Great features, and fast development with customers at center
What do you like best about the product?
The Blueshift platform offers a range of very useful features, like recommendations, segmentation, social media connections. It's advanced for connection to external fetches for multi-language campaigns and easy to work with the templates. The Blueshift team is very helpful, always ready to help, and gets fast support, around the clock.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blueshift is built for executing campaigns, and the data analytics interface is a little limited, but the basics can be definitely be done. I am convinced this area will be improved, given Blueshift's fast and customer-centric product development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We execute 2-3 one-time sends campaigns each week, to 14 different languages and have about 20 triggered campaigns. The clever AI and segmentation make it easy to send timely content to global customers. Without Blueshift, we would have had to be a 3x bigger team.

It's a great platform!

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with our eCommerce platform allows us to leverage our customer and order data to improve our marketing communications. Blueshift has allowed us to level up our email marketing as well as managing our customer data.

The learning curve is a bit steep but well worth the payoff.

Using data insights to power our email communications dramatically improving the results of one of our top marketing channels.

Work closely with your CSM and develop a good rapport - they are your conduit into the other teams you'll need to make you successful on the platform.
