More uptime more accomplished
What do you like best about the product?
Gone are the days of failed JSS Casper rollups and rollback maintenance cycles, with Jamf Pro Cloud. Login and Go reliability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the limitation of stability for large single file downloads from the default cloud storage to be odd. Printer configuration would be best if not having to script lpadmin items, and use Computer Management applet. Customizable smart group email stationary. Would like to see a tree or pathway routing for configuration-items Smart Groups association to policies, triggered custom events, etc. In an example, when reviewing Smart Groups, see where they are used prior to deleting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Failed or pending configuration profiles may not load self-service `approval` uamdm reminders, without using a Policy > Files and Processes > Execute command `open /appName.app` fix;
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best use a financial resources for efficiency and ease of implementation, especially from onPrem scenarios.

LOVE YOUR MAC WITH JAMF PRO
What do you like best about the product?
There is no other tool that quiet has the value and granularity to manage a Mac like Jamf does. The ability to manage and automate workflows with smart groups supersedes Jamf to any other MDM tool out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. Jamf has the best Apple focus out of all other EMM tools out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage a large number of Macs for enterprises and using Jamf brings those devices into the enterprise network back from the outside where windows admins like to put them.
JAMF Pro allows organizations to support their Mac products at an enterprise level.
What do you like best about the product?
JAMF Pro allows our IT team to manage our Apple devices at an enterprise level. We have full control over the system preferences of the Mac computers and settings of the iPads which is a huge bonus. Additionally, we are able to automatically push out software, apps, web clips, notifications and instructions with a push of a button from the management console. JAMF is also extremely good at supporting their product.
What do you dislike about the product?
While JAMF is supported quite well, it is also pretty challenging to manage. There is a lot of training and retention that must go into managing the software. There is a constant need to update certificate authorities to get their software to work with the Apple services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF helps us manage 300 Macs and 300 iPads in our small school district. The benefit is that these products were generally made for private consumer use and we are able to utilize the value of the products at an enterprise level. Apple products promote creativity which is a value of our organization. We can maintain that value and still have a level of control over the products being used.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need enterprise control over your Apple products the best in the business solution is JAMF pro. They support their product at a level that is not usually seen in the tech world. If they don't have an immediate solution, they gather a team of support technicians to engineer solutions to your problems that work every time. It's rare to have that level of grit, savvy and determination to support a product and it is very much appreciated by the end user.

The best Mac management solution ever
What do you like best about the product?
Everything is made to be simple. Deploying policies, printers and etc. Creating smart computer groups. Deploy software automatically. It’s awesome! Thank you, JAMF!
What do you dislike about the product?
In my organisation we rarely use self-service! But it’s just because of our type of organisation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’ve implemented mac encryption method with JAMF. We’ve implemented local admin password solution and much more...
The Gold Standard for Apple Sevice Management
What do you like best about the product?
It is exceptionally customizable. It’s hard to imagine a workflow that JAMF Pro can’t pull off. The forums/support are second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some interface inconsistencies that can lead to unsaved/lost changes if you’re not paying attention.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We would need triple the amount of staff to do what we’re already doing with JAMF Pro. We’ve been able to manage large fleets of devices, and easily customize UE for many diverse groups.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest going through at least the 200 level certification course.
Great Product - Even better Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, it's more-so the customer support that I enjoy. Each agent I deal with seems to remember previous encounters and we're like a big family. The product itself is amazing in what it can do regarding Apple's ecosystem. I love the fact with JAMF Cloud that we do not have to manage SSL certificates, DMZ servers, or any other extra "things". JAMF handles the upgrades for us and provides a ticker of up/down tracking statuses.
Another thing that we've been recently utilizing is the RESTful API that JAMF has. We use it to build dashboards to alert us of things. It's super easy to use.
JamfNation is also another aspect of JAMF. This community is HUGE and you can request product changes as well as ask questions (no question is a dumb one! Judgement free zone!).
I enjoy the fact that JAMF's awesome support allows for an awesome product which allows for me to provide an awesome experience for all of my Apple patrons!

I am now in year 6 of being a JAMF admin and I have to say, all of the improvements and things that JAMF has so eloquently put into their product has made managing apple products that much easier.
We now own some of the various products that JAMF offers (Jamf Connect, JAMF Pro, etc.) and the support + end-user community has been stellar.
If you have even the slightest need for mac management, I'd recommend JAMF Now (I use this for my MSP business) and we LOVE it too!

What do you dislike about the product?
The few things that I dislike about JAMF aren't enough to hold a candle next to the sun. Seriously, the ONLY complaint I have is that sometimes the JAMF employees are too nice. Who even says that? When there's a product issue, there's a detailed report except for CVEs - because, let's face it, if you left your front door unlocked while you were out of town, you wouldn't want to broadcast that to the entire city.
The other dislikes I have are integration limitations - only because my organization is too stubborn not to follow community trend standards.

Traditionally, Apple products were never meant to be managed. We are solving our issues of inventory, standardization, and better customer management/ support.
Migration to the new M1 chip has never been easier and migration to the latest MacOS hasn't ever been more simple.

Jamf gives you endless possibilities to customize your setup, but there are endless ways to screw it up all on your own. Not enough experts in hybrid environments makes getting support for Jamf Connect take longer. We need more Sean Rabbitts!

Okta integration is the best feature. I like that its cloud based and nothing needs stored locally and the technical support is great.

What I dont like is that you can only have one package for Pre-enrollment
