Being low-code, even people without any experience can start building with OutSystems immediately.

A person with any background studies is able to develop with Outsystems and learn super quickly!

Certifications are a little bit expensive if an individual has to pay with his own money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems increase a lot the number of job opportunities in the IT field. It also gave lots of opportunities to people who did not study an IT course.

what I like the most is the speed with which it is programmed, what has surprised me the most has been the difference between when you work with technologies like .NET that when you finish doing a big development there is always a bug that has to be solved, with outsystems it is the opposite, most of the time everything fits perfectly
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that displeases me 100%, everything works quite smoothly, in my personal experience many times the IDE stops working and I have to restart it when it catches me in the middle of a development

Outsystems solves the problems of all base applications, which in the end has a common base that all "big" companies need, it is very easy to work with Outsystems

Starting Low-Code Development with Outsystems
What do you like best about the product?
Most of the Outsystems modules and tutorials were informative and insightful for those who are starting out with the low-code development platform. Each module gives you a way to explore what Outsystems has to offer, and they offer a lot. From database management, role-based security, building reactive forms and modules, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problem I encountered while following the introduction modules was some outdated tutorials. With Outsystems updated software, some videos and OML files were outdated. It was a bit troublesome to look out for the problems online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems have introduced to me the benefits of low-code development. With low-code development, building apps have never been easier and quicker to do. Instead of doing codes from scratch, which takes most of your time, Outsystems lessens the amount of time you have to focus on the building process.

The community I think is one of the best options to solve possible problems with our developments and the idea service to get possibles important changes to do it

Some changes when it works basically. F.e. something like it happens in Service Studio with the last version because something has been changed and we should have to spend time working harder on the development side.

Almost everything that is required for rapid application development is available with OutSystems platform. Excellent integration with external components, great community support, and the best part is how easily you can create the extensions you need.

1. You don't have easy access to the database directly.
2. There is no 'branching' strategy. Everyone in the team works on the same code base.

What do you like best about the product?
The speed at which functionalities can be built. The reusability of components makes a difference in having a speeding process. Also, the catalog of widgets pre-made.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations currently about aggregates, which in some occasions need to be changed to advanced SQL. Also, the limited information on managing records directly from ServiceStudio

Unit testing for single actions, the same way we can test an aggregate or an SQL advanced query now. This allows faster testing of a full feature by validating their elements
Easy learning and implementation
What do you like best about the product?
Since the platform itself is providing many valuable training courses along with exercisie practices, it's easy to learn and develope application on your own. Along side the forum available is really helpful to clarify all kind of doubts from experienced learners. You can make a full funtional web/mobile app using the funtionalities giving your application an amazing UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The service studio sometimes take too much time to open and lags a lot.
Also while using the merge and publish option, it's removing the logic (implemented by the other developer) completely. So introducing an easy way to retrive the different versions of publish in service studio in the time of developement would be really helpful.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems is saving a lot of time while developing an application, since we are able to work on both front end and back end simultaneously. Also the easy learning process has been helpful in implementing long typed codes by small outsystems logics.
