OutSystems platform developer
What do you like best about the product?
How easy and fast it is to make an application, from start to finish it is very fast and it does a great job. It's also mobile compliant and that is something that I was missing in other low-code platforms. Also, the 'marketplace' where you can download everything for free is a big plus and with the personal environment you can try everything out before committing to anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me it's the pricing, I liked the old pricing better and think that it's not that scalable for now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me it is that i can show a lot of progress in a short time and make our business happy with this. In other application the development time was to long and with OutSystems it goes faster.

Very fast development and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to snap the UI together using a GUI is very helpful to someone like me who isn't great at front-end development. CSS is very easy to define and test to see its effects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some limitations when it comes to custom components, SQL, and server actions. The lack of ability to define a variable as a generic list or record is somewhat stifling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed compared to traditional web development is so far advanced. It makes it very easy to build and test prototypes. The ability to quickly change directions makes problem solving much easier.

The application crashes all of a sudden while developing. With the continuous growth of OutSystems lots of updates taking place sometimes, it takes time to update the project as the dependency apps are not compatible with the latest version of mabs and others.

What do you dislike about the product?
The complexity of custom UI screen design
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Go to Market time reduced for some of the applications drastically, this is good news for all
Good to accelerate projects, but also a bit like a black box.
What do you like best about the product?
It takes time from having to build all from the start since it gives you a good and solid base. This help's to make the development go quicker and helps a lot of people with only some basic programming skills/knowledge to start working on web or mobile applications. It also has a community that helps with so many other widgets/patterns developed for free.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes in cases where the requirements from the client are a bit off from what the Outsystems offers us we need to start finding ways to work around it and in this cases I still feel like it's too much of a black box that prevents you from gathering the solutions by yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing web and mobile applications that sync data between them to help companies go on the field and work/gather information on the field and then with the possibility to work on top of it on the web.
