Embrace Low Code with Outsystems
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to build personalized solutions for each customer. The extended support and training they provide to the developer community and their partners. The integrations to the external systems make it very easy to work with other technologies that are part of the technology ecosystem.
What do you dislike about the product?
One big disadvantage of this platform is code branching and merging when more than one developer work on the same page we get merge conflicts and that becomes a headache. We can't create our branches and commit our code to that and test it individually. There are certain issues that we face when we try to extend the frontend capabilities of Outsystems applications. Licensing Prices are still an issue for small-scale organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are developing apps and sending them to go live in lesser time than the traditional development methods. Similarly, we need lesser development efforts while working with low code. We can easily deploy our code to the cloud and help our customer to solve their business problems and make their digital transformation journey smooth.
Development is so easy and fast. Release Deployment is smooth.
What do you like best about the product?
Low code, Integrated database and API s system. Service Center to track Error and Integration studio to add other components.
What do you dislike about the product?
Missing Reporting Tool and Slow performance in case of Bulk Data.

The least helpful about outsystems is its search option because it does not found to be that much helpful to search in outsystems, suggesting you to improve this search feature.

Bad documentation about the structure outsystems on-premisses.

What do you like best about the product?
Using OutSystems you can develop your application faster. And OutSystems uses accelerator concepts for faster development. I'm really impressed after seeing these features in OutSystems.
What do you dislike about the product?
In OutSystems, design the website using CSS only. I need SASS and SCSS style sheets in OutSystems. In the future, If it's added to OutSystems it will be better to design the website. Because now we are facing some parent class and child class issues in OutSystems. If SASS and SCSS are added to OutSystems the parent and child class issues will be cleared.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using OutSystems, you do not need to type HTML because it will be processed via widgets in OutSystems. So, it is saving your time during development.
Easier & faster development
What do you like best about the product?
What I do like the most is all the free resources they provide to learn how to use the platform. And of course, the fact that with OutSystems can develop a great app in no time compared with other languages/tools. Also, I do appreciate the customer service always fast and useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the front end/ design part of the platform a bit tricky to master. The match between the CSS and the Theme Editor could be easier and more intuitive from my point of view. But as they are always working for improving the platform I am sure this will improve too.
I would love to find more Youtubers talking about OutSystems because sometimes it helps a lot to find another kind of lessons.

To create an enterprise app faster and easier than others. And of course, the fact that you can become an OutSystems developer in a few weeks in a way more efficient way.

What do you like best about the product?
it is very flexible, l like that we designed a tool that builds good-looking apps and handles the entire software development life cycle. we can easily adopt.
What do you dislike about the product?
it is hard to change the overall platform time zone in the back end if you do not work in the default time zone of back-end services. we have limited UI designs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
my career starts with OutSystems I have learned a lot with OutSystems. we have a large community over here. whenever I have doubt community members are always there to help.

Speed of delivery while still focussing on quality.
It's also a platform focussed on the whole development lifecycle. (ex. No need for third party tools for DevOps operations,...)

The training video's are to much focussed on learning the concepts of the platform while not always following it's own best practices.
Example: CRUD wrapper actions are not used in training video's while it's a best practice.
It creates a risk that new developers on their first project are creating things without following the best practice while they are just following what they learned via the video's
