What do you like best about the product?
Moving to Outsystems developed applications for our internal LOB apps has so far proved to be a great move. The ability to construct and deploy solutions to the business with great CX and UI is invaluable. The re-platforming of many of our LOB apps into Outsystems mean that we are now able to give our employees the functions and security they always wanted but we were unable to provide with our incumbent systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside experienced so far is that the capabilities of OS are so far reaching that some simple solutions can seem like they require more lengthy dev time. This is far outweighted however by the ability to provide more functionality than ever before to our users

Guiding users through tasks in a better experience, reducing time taken to capture data and greater reporting capabilities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This a great too, possibly more powerful than you need but allows you to take your business forward and speed up the complexity and ease of deployment of business apps to your users.

OutSystems helped increase our development speed 5 times faster. Before OutSystems we had traditional .NET development.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support for running OutSystems apps on containers. This capability is missing in OutSystems. OutSystems licensing doesn't suit for small scale businesses.

Legacy Modernization, improve Business process efficiency.

OutSystems is a technology platform , when you onboard OutSystems also think about the process and organization to support the onboarding of OutSystems
Easy to use for standard use cases; customization is not that straightforward

Easy to visualize code; easy to build reusable components

Customization of already implemented themes is difficult (need to overwrite styles of SilkUI for instance)

That it's agile!!! And that you have a product within short time!

The stress within the organisation, because there the product had to updated.

We are more agile. We have a product in short time. We have a much better CVS for our clients.

Do it! but first do good reasearch and think about what this way of working means for your organisation. If the employees are use tot finished product, talk to them about this was of updating and making a product better.
