The biggest development accelerator
What do you like best about the product?
Creating beautiful front-ends and solid back-ends while being able to manage and continuously improve all of its modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
Easy to develop also means easily you can do mistakes. Developers should focus on a good architecture as a solid background for their developments otherwise refactoring will be required
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're replacing our whole business with OutSystems and building Order to cash and arrival to departure applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
OutSystems is a good tool to accelerate your business but It requires a solid architecture. If the intend is multiple applications that connect to each other make sure you have a good integration mechanism (ESB or similar). Good designs and front/ends will be the easiest part.

Platform is extremely agile and have great unified experience to build applications and micro services.
What do you dislike about the product?
Forge is the component plug-in hub and needs to redesign the portal and curation.

The Insights module is intriguing. Ability to look at the adoption rates and user experience and engagement metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
lack of pre-built out-of-the-box packages, but I see v11 has that covered - lets see to what extent.

Agility for business strategy rollout

Look at the ecosystem through Forge. This is not the product, this is an ecosystem as part of the platform and beyond.

OutSystems allowed us to develop omnichannel applications quickly and easily. It made it possible for us to put the right tools into the hands of our employees, wherever they are...

I would like to see more testing integration. Automated regression testing is key when using rapid development tools such as OutSystems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the digital transformation and experience problems. Work wherever you are and do the things that you didn't have time to do during the day on the commute home.

Work smarter and with a low code solution. It increases productivity, output and let's you more senior developers focus on the truly tough problems of the business.

What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems is the most powerful tool that I've used to develop robust, deep, and good-looking web and mobile applications. It's easy to develop screens and logic quickly, but flexible enough to handle very complex business logic. It handles everything from storing source code to compile to deployment with one click.
What do you dislike about the product?
Version Control isn't as flexible and robust as I would like. There's no ability to branch code or have a central repository for multiple projects with a shared codebase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We often have very aggressive development schedules with our clients, and Outsystems allows up to implement our product very rapidly.
Great quick application development
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to create a great looking website with out having prior experience. The templates look great and are easy to customize to your liking. The forge is useful in adding components that are not included in the base program.
What do you dislike about the product?
The programming language was a shift from the usual. Some functions like list manipulation are not as robust in some situations. However, this can be overcome with use of plugins and custom C# integrations.

Speed of development, easy ui that looks good.

ability to run and fail fast when it is the case... so we can change gears quickly

how to control development gold code. i would be good to have a way to control SDLC requirements

I like that Outsystems improves deployment speed and standardizes code. This allows junior developers to produce.
What do you dislike about the product?
New product means new learning curve. I would like to see a code export feature as well. That would allow us to quickly develop solutions that we could host in house.
