Delivery fast, delivery with quality
What do you like best about the product?
The agility to change and how easy it is to business work together with IT team toward an excellent delivery. We are able to go live with dozens of applications every month and sooner.
What do you dislike about the product?
The license model doesn't reflect the real market needs and their changes almost every year on that topic causes a huge impact on our customers and how the app is developed when taking into consideration some license limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time to market is the most important for us and OutSystems has been able to fulfill the deadline, plus the learning curve for developers joining our community and projects.

The visual aspect of working in the studio, where I can see my code/logic being developed plus being super easy to understand.

The amount of info can be too much to handle at first without a proper tutorial

Know better the business logic of my projects by creating an environment where the code itself is easy to read.

Some things can be really tedious and much harder to make than with code

The time needed to develop an app is much lower so you can be way more productive and everyone is forced to program in similar ways so applications are easy to maintain

Very fast development and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to snap the UI together using a GUI is very helpful to someone like me who isn't great at front-end development. CSS is very easy to define and test to see its effects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some limitations when it comes to custom components, SQL, and server actions. The lack of ability to define a variable as a generic list or record is somewhat stifling.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed compared to traditional web development is so far advanced. It makes it very easy to build and test prototypes. The ability to quickly change directions makes problem solving much easier.

Licensed versions are little too costly.

The drag and drop features as well as the already built components are ready to use and save a lot of time in case of speedy development.

As of now, there is no limitation of serious concern with Outsystems.

Outsystems is a powerful LCNC tool that can be used for the speedy development of enterprise-based applications. Not only this, it is also easy to learn and can be very beneficial to citizen developers as well.
