Essential for Maintaining Engineering Precision in Global Communication

  • May 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Grammarly particularly useful for ensuring clarity and maintaining a professional tone across different platforms. It acts as a reliable "second set of eyes" for refining technical documentation, making complex technical briefs and reports grammatically sound and easy for diverse teams to digest. I appreciate its ability to maintain tone consistency, whether drafting a formal proposal or a quick update on Slack. It helps keep communication professional and appropriately confident. I value its efficiency in drafting, as it catches those small, repetitive errors that can slip through during a busy workday, allowing for a faster transition from a rough draft to a polished final version. Grammarly's real-time integration across platforms like Outlook, Slack, and browser-based CAD management tools is a major time-saver, letting me focus on core engineering tasks. The context-aware tone detection is essential for keeping communications professional and authoritative. I also like the global collaboration aspect, as it helps standardize language for teams working across different regions, ensuring the core message isn't lost. The initial setup was remarkably frictionless and plug-and-play. The desktop integration was a one-click process, and the browser extensions worked immediately, simplifying the rollout for the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the AI suggestions are generally excellent, it occasionally struggles with highly specialized engineering terminology or proprietary nomenclature specific to the automation and pneumatics industry. It sometimes suggests 'simplifying' technical phrases that require specific jargon for accuracy. Additionally, the 'Goals' pop-up can be slightly intrusive when working within dense spreadsheets or technical interfaces, though this is a minor UX friction point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problem solved is the "risk of miscommunication" in a multinational corporate environment. At Festo, we collaborate across borders; Grammarly acts as a final quality control layer, ensuring clarity and reducing the likelihood of errors in technical documentation.

Key Benefits:
-Consistency: It maintains a unified professional voice across the department.
-Efficiency: It significantly reduces the 'review cycle' time for emails and reports.
-Confidence: For non-native English speakers on the team, it provides a safety net that empowers them to contribute more effectively to global discussions."

I use Grammarly to ensure clarity and professional tone in technical documents, saving senior engineers from proofreading by streamlining our documentation. It helps refine my writing, maintain tone consistency, and facilitate efficient drafting, which is crucial for global collaboration.

Solid grammar fix for everyday writing

  • May 13, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Chrome extension is what got me hooked. It quietly fixes grammar while I’m typing in emails or just chatting. Saves me from embarrassing mistakes without breaking my flow. Works across most sites which is genuinely useful day to day. Only thing is sometimes it clashes with other extensions I have running, but nothing dealbreaking. Overall does exactly what it promises.
What do you dislike about the product?
The constant upgrade prompts get old pretty fast. Almost every other suggestion has a ‘Premium’ tag on it which feels a bit pushy when you’re just trying to get through your inbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly helps me come across more clearly and professionally when writing emails or messages. English isn’t always easy to get right under pressure and having something catch mistakes in real time takes that stress away. My writing just looks cleaner without me having to think too hard about it.
