Grammarly has many great aspects and some quirks.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Grammarly reminds me to stop and review what I typed. This has helped to clarify text and review for conciseness.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the suggestions it offers do not fit the scenario. I sometimes wonder if it really grasped the sentence and just didn't get the context to suggest such odd changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with spelling errors, agreement issues and clarifying sentence structure. At times, it helps me to soften the language so I can decide how straightforward I need to be or if I need to tone it down.
So Helpful!
What do you like best about the product?
Grant writing is my specialty; however, Grammarly helps as a second pair of eyes on my work. In this fast-paced environment and with constant interruptions, I sometimes struggle with work, and Grammarly helps me perfect anything before I send it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I get logged out more often than I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The proofreading helps me. After a long and busy day, sometimes I need that second set of eyes to proof my work.
The best grammer tool in the business, no cap!
What do you like best about the product?
The way the browser extension functions is amazing. I can use it on a variety of websites and type quickly because I know Grammarly has my back and will always autocorrect or highlight the words that require correction.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Grammarly browser extension can be really buggy at times and will require a refresh for the tab I am currently on. It gets annoying at times, but I can't complain too much because I've been using it for over a year, every single day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It primarily assists me in correcting my incorrect spellings, which are common because I type quickly and may make mistakes along the way. On a daily basis, it enables me to deliver better support via chat and email, as well as communicate without spelling errors in my customer success journey.
Very helpful, but you need to keep an eye on it.
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly has helped me improve my writing, shows me where I need commas, and tells me how my writing will likely come across to others. I like that it’s both available when I want it, and I can turn it off when it’s not needed (like in Teams messages).
What do you dislike about the product?
Ultimately, Grammarly is a program that works off of logic. Writing is not always logical, so very often, the software will make a recommendation that either doesn’t work in the context, re-writes the meaning of the sentence, or even downgrades my language to sound less professional in the name of “clarity” or “engagement.” It also fails to understand the difference between technical language and everyday language. As just one example, “whitelisting” is a technical term referring to a limited allowable list. Grammarly often labels it as “non-inclusive,” which is incorrect and borderline offensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly solves basic grammar issues. English isn't my strong suit, I specialized in math and technology, so I like that it helps me sound more professional (as long as I keep an eye on it).
Simple but great!
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity and effectiveness of the app are great, and the integrations with many valuable programs or even the app extension is fantastic! I use it at work but have also been suggesting it to people who speak English as a second language.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it makes some heavy cloud programs slower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an English as a second language person, I'm always concerned with writing correctly and expressing myself grammatically correctly. I work in the language service industry, which adds more pressure to develop exceptional communication skills.
Grammarly has helped me achieve that mastery and feel much more empowered through writing to engage, communicate, and participate.
Grammarly has helped me achieve that mastery and feel much more empowered through writing to engage, communicate, and participate.
Efficiently Work Smarter with Grammarly
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly lets me showcase my voice while double-checking for errors. I can confidently submit work knowing I corrected typos and wording. For sentences that I'm questioning how to word, Grammarly notices in advance to help me quickly form the words into a sentence that makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
Grammarly disconnects randomly, requiring me to re-login. I have experienced issues with it not working when using third party sites, such as Hootsuite or posting on social media (LinkedIn).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly solves typos and incorrect words. It allows us to work efficiently to produce website content with confidence that the text is free of errors. It saves time and gives us an additional layer to the proof reading process.
Essential for Tech Writers
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly Business lets you customize what apps it works in; this is great, because sometimes Grammarly Business gets in the way when you're working on source code, etc., things where "normal English" doesn't apply. I also appreciate that it's not a memory hog and isn't prone to crashing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The emotion ranking in Grammarly Business (formal, not confident, etc.) is a touch wonky. I'm sure it will get better with time (it would be great to configure custom emotions).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's good to have a second eye to look over your writing, but when you don't always have a writing staff to do a second pass, Grammarly Business does a dandy job of a final mechanical polish.
Pretty Good
What do you like best about the product?
The easy-to-click-and-fix process. Being able to just tap the word for suggestions and for fixing my spelling. I also enjoy how it helps me to shorten my sentences for more quick and clear communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be aggravating when my sentences get flipped around or when it thinks what I am saying is different from what I am actually trying to communicate. Also the little gizmo on the screen can often get in the way. Sometimes Grammarly doesnt work as well for no reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammerly business has been fixing my spelling primarily it creates a faster way for me to send out emails by allowing me to review and improve my sentences after instead of while I am working on it.
I hardly use Grammarly now a days, thanx to GPT
What do you like best about the product?
nothing new, I have almost stopped using grammarly. Majority content is generated throught GPT so I hardly need to worry about grammar.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Grammarly needs to pivot their model and offering. I am not finding as valuable as earlier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Majorly for correcting grammatical mistakes and tone identification. English is not my first language so it really help to write and share content confidently.
Grammarly is an amazing tool
What do you like best about the product?
I can focus on conveying my thoughts in a way that makes sense and is congruent with consistent grammar. Like it or not, you are judged by the way you communicate. Grammarly is a great tool that brings a lot of things together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly cannot think of many (any?) things that I do not appreciate about Grammarly. It may help to be able to "turn it off" easier or move the Grammarly icon around more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a sloppy writer, but I communicate for a living as a pastor. I love that Grammarly catches a lot of my mistakes with different apps I use. I can convey my thoughts well and articulate them the way I want to.
