My FAVORITE everyday tool!
What do you like best about the product?
As a nonprofit, it's so beneficial to us to have free, useful tools that create more capacity for team members! Grammarly Business provides amazing support that makes me feel confident in what we put out to our audiences!
What do you dislike about the product?
... Honestly, not much that I don't like! The only thing that comes to mind is the proper way to write out time has a space between the number and "am/pm", my personal preference is for there to not be a space. I'd love the option (if there isn't one already) that allows Grammarly to "ignore all", so that way it stops showing up in red.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It increases our capacity to proofread, making sure we don't have to spend time second-guessing where the comma goes, or where the appropriate place for a semicolon is.
Helpful, even for an experienced writer
What do you like best about the product?
It keeps me on my toes regarding commas and word usage. I like competing with a colleague on the most unique words and the number of corrections made to our work over the month.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't understand some of our business language, so sometimes it will note that an error needs correcting, but it is regular parlance in our organization. Minor thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me appear more accurate than maybe I am regularly without the tool. I highly value correct spelling and grammar and Grammarly is a key part of that for my role.
Grammarly has helped me grow in my communication skills
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me deliver messages clearly and concisely always being mindful of the tone
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it's a great tool, but sometimes the suggestions are too formal. Which is understandable, but at times you want to sound casual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me with writing job posts, job descriptions and internal comm messages.
A great tool to increase accuracy and professionalism
What do you like best about the product?
I rely on Grammarly daily to help modify basic pronunciation and tone in my messages, emails, and general writings. I greatly appreciate how it catches the little things, and helps make my language more accurate overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally the recommendations are incorrect or do not account for tone. I have noticed that it is getting better over time, and I look forward to seeing how the application continues to improve!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I sometimes struggle with punctuation or appropriate verbiage, and Grammarly is great about catching and correcting my minor mistakes! I love having the reassurance that my writings are grammatically correct.
Not sure it is the best tool nowadays...
What do you like best about the product?
Nothing new jumps out at me. I use Grammarly less now due to improvements in AI technology. The pop-up window to upgrade is annoying, so I use it less.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not use it as much due to the many improvements in other AI grammar-checking tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing the team to improve their communication skills and allowing us to raise our game when it comes to interacting with people.
Helpful and an indispensable part of our business
What do you like best about the product?
Placing a document in the program has been very helpful. We often receive full Word documents from clients, which are a nightmare to edit. This feature helps us expedite the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since moving into the paid version, nothing. Our organization doesn't use the Oxford comma, so automatically removing them was a nice touch and will help speed up our editing process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now, it's helping us deal with materials sent to us by clients in our university who prepare them in Word. Our clients are academics and write in a very stilted way. We are all experienced with decoding this for the masses; however, we're imperfect and don't catch everything. Grammarly helps us with that.
A must have for an efficient work environment
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Also, the weekly insight reports provide interesting summaries of how our company is using the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything to report that I don't like about Grammarly currently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides confidence to employees whose second language is English.
Grammarly is really helpful tool for content marketing team
What do you like best about the product?
We can improve our copywriting skills for blog and SMM activities. Also it really helps with letters to our customers and clients. We use it every day in our writing communications and I think it works!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we got incorrect suggestions for writing context. At these moments you want to get done all proposed things, but you need hold on previous version to be clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can do additional grammar check before we deliver our content to the website or send it to our customers. Also it helps set the right voice tone for materials.
Nonprofits can't afford not to use it
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly Business is a game changer for any small business that could use another set of eyes but can't afford them. The suggested edits go far beyond simple spelling and grammatical mistakes, offering suggestions for making sentences less wordy or more confident. Plus, they've been offering nonprofits a few free seats since the COVID-19 pandemic began. As a communications director in a small nonprofit, we couldn't afford *not* to use Grammarly. It makes reviewing grant applications, social media posts, and fundraising appeals so much faster and easier.
We're also starting to explore the brand style guide features. They're super easy to implement once you know what you want to include. For now, having it offer quick reminders to our team about how to reference our organization's name on first reference, as well as a few other minor style choices, is great.

What do you dislike about the product?
Grammarly always seems to want to insert an article before a noun, no matter what. Sometimes it makes your writing feel overly formal and clunky, which doesn't fit our brand's voice. I've also encountered some issues where, when editing a particularly long document, Grammarly will have difficulty keeping up with where I am in the edits versus the document itself, sometimes showing me a suggested edit for a page I am not looking at (using it as a Google Chrome plug-in when editing in Google docs, for reference). I can usually find the correct spot in the document pretty quickly, but it is a little annoying. That said, I am lucky enough to be offered a nonprofit discount, so it's a minor inconvenience for the benefits of the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Grammarly to offer another set of eyes on any document we produce. This includes grant proposals, social media posts, press releases, and more. We've received many compliments on our overall communications program since producing more content. Grammarly allows us to maintain a high level of quality while producing more for our audiences to enjoy.
How Grammarly taught me to write better!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature is the recommended sentence structure recommendations. I think I have excellent communication skills, then Grammarly jumps and suggests a better way to arrange those words, and it does help to convey the message a lot clearer!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like for Grammarly to suggest better replacement words. The recommendations are usually accurate meaning-wise, but it is not the best word suggestion in the conversation context.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I communicate with property owners daily; since I started using Grammarly, I have received fewer "what do you mean by that?" replies, as Grammarly usually will pinpoint a more straightforward answer and will suggest removing the filler words.
