Simplified the management of patches
What do you like best about the product?
Once a month I log in to the web GUI and select whether to approve the long list of patches. We have over 150 endpoints and servers, both Linux and Windows, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central makes it easy to keep them compliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if it's a true downside, but the capabilities of this software are vast and we don't use half of them. This means that the system is a little daunting to new users. It can also be a little hard to work out why patches have failed to install, although this doesn't happen very often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are audited regularly to ensure that all machines are correctly patched and we rarely find any that aren't. We can output auditor-friendly proof of the latest patch level of any machines requested.
ManageEngine Endpoint Central as a patching tool
What do you like best about the product?
This product stands out as the market leader for patching. Endpoint Central includes encompasses Patch Management as well as Vulnerability Scanning which is excellent for compliance. I'm utilising the cloud-based for the trial, but there is on-premises solution as well.
The product covers all my company's needs for bringing my company up to compliance standards for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Unfortunately I haven't found any product that matches the Windows and Linux capabilities for macOS, so this might be a macOS limitation.
The documentation and sales team have been very useful for our trial and proof of concept. It was easy to integrate into our environment. Creating deployment and patching polices was simple and has worked as expected. We're currently using it daily in our POC.
I'm currently on a free trial but I will be highly recommeding we proceed with its implementation for both our company and our customers.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I have encountered has been a dealbreaker.
ManageEngine uses an agent for patch deployment, which is excellent for unmanaged machines, but for managed machines it could be redundant. I would like to see integration with MDMs like Microsoft Intune and JAMF in future, so all software deployment is centralised.
I would like to see more options for macOS as well, but as I mentioned in what I like this doesn't seem to be unique to ManageEngine.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've never liked EC or Desktop Central. Very difficult to navigate the app, support is about 50% good, and updates and patches have never worked well.

I like the ease and effectiveness of patching with ManageEngine Endpoint Central. It eliminates vulnerabilities and allows me to keep all systems secure. The initial setup was pretty easy, which was a big plus.

More reliable than Intune
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Endpoint Central for 6-7 years now at our organization, and even with our company's growth it has remained a great tool for us. We primarily use it for software pushes and inventory purposes, but have started using the OS deployment piece as well. We like it a lot more than Intune, though Intune of course has more functionality. It's more reliable to work work than our Microsoft products. Integration with other ManageEngine products is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
We stopped using the patch management piece as it was cumbersome to use at times. We instead rely on Intune and PatchMyPC. The MDM solution is also lacking in comparison to Intune, so we have that feature disabled. One thing that is also lacking is the Remote Control feature for machines. I'd like to see that become comparable to something like Teamviewer. Performing updates to these products (we run on-prem) has been extremely painful at times. I would highly recommend going with the cloud version of all their products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of pushing software to our user and server Windows endpoints. It is far more reliable than other tools we have tried. Managing endpoints and their settings is also a breeze.
I found Endpoint Central a good product and easy to use interface with lots of option to play with

What do you dislike about the product?
As a long term customer of ZOHO, I am expecting to reduce the prices for this product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ManageEngine Endpoint providing centralised control on our endpoint devices. We can manage each device once agenet is installed.
Perfect tool for a small team to manage a lot of devices
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Endpoint Central (UEM Edition with Security Add-on) for 3+ years now and there's no going back.
As a small team, having all of the tools we need to efficiently manage pretty much every device we own in one place is invaluable.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to think of anything I dislike about the product. Every now and again an updated agent rollout will go wrong and I'll have to manually remove and re-add those clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Endpoint Central to deploy, manage and configure clients, to roll out software updates and in-house fixes and to provide remote (in-house) support.
ManageEngine a great potential and unified security tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to parameterize, manage my equipment and mainly to have the security control of all my endpoints in order to be properly protected at every moment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Your update process is very manual, it should be automated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping my endpoints up to date at all times, as well as security enhancements in the configuration of security best practices, GPOs, application control and MDM.
