The Best Endpoint management is ManageEngine Endpoint Central.
What do you like best about the product?
The experience with endpoint central is excellent. Endpoint central has great features, such as managing devices to push/reimaging the machines with the help of Endpoint Central is possible. It has a great UI, and it's easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't encountered any issue with Endpoint Central.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Ecosystem of the ManageEngine is a great advantage and hassle-free onboarding of the devices.
Best tool for IT administrators
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and manage, Fast enrollment within the network, Easy deployment, SMTP and Relay mail configs made so easy to configure notifications & Easy to Track the Assets
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop Agent seems quite heavy. MAC OS support to be focused. The Error Messages can be more specific instead of general notes. Remote monitoring ( intra-network) machines management to be focused.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for Easy to-deploy and Faster tool for managing the in-house endpoints. This tool is easier to try and evaluate & cost effective.
Excellent product for small and large IT organizations!
What do you like best about the product?
ME Desktop/Endpoint Central is a fantastic full-featured and easy to use product for IT organizations of all sizes. I've used both the on-premise and cloud versions with great success. I love the different modules available for managing all kinds of different workloads. We have taken full advantage of the product from the Patch Management, Remote Access, Inventory Management, Software Deployment, and more. My most recent experience with the cloud version made me happy to see that they've integrated their MDM solution into DC to make a one-stop product for IT asset management!
What do you dislike about the product?
Features seem to break quite frequently with new releases, but honestly I had to sit and think pretty hard about what I didn't like about the product. Support can be hit or miss at times, as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MEDC helps us as an IT department automate so much of what we do and makes us more effective and efficient at endpoint management. It helps us standardize on our product and service offerings, as well.
Excellent product
What do you like best about the product?
The single plane of glass to manage patching, remote access, inventory, etc is fantastic. It will make supporting our users much easier
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a few issues with the remote client going offline. Very few, not enough I consider it a chronic problem yet. Ive seen this some in almost every product I have used. Bomgar (beyond trust) was fantastic reliability, but all it did was remote access. I prefer this interface and love how everything is tied together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to hop on remote desktops, dynamicly track IT assets, and simplified patching control.
Good product, Endpoint Central could use work
What do you like best about the product?
ManageEngine and its family of products are fairly easy to use and pick up for any IT professional. There are some limitations but not enough to deem it inferior.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that EndPoint Central is a bit behind the times. MDM can definitely use an overhaul. Asset manager is not as intuitive as I would like. Remote connection to computer inventory can be a pain at times; there should be alternative options to using the web browser for remote connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are currently working on including the eSIM platform that are available on newer devices to the MDM portion. Since the majority of the devices in our fleet use eSIM this will be a big benefit when they roll out the update(s) regarding eSIM management.
ME lacks basic functions
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the system has no issue with me having multiple things open in multiple browser tabs. Some other methods I've worked on make you have to have multiple incognito browsers open to be able to view various endpoints at the same time. I also like the reporting options and the ability to drill down through them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system does not show any way to slipstream an install, and adding drivers to a repository shows no completion or status. Setting up everything in ME is a PITA and takes forever. Everything has to be just so. If you use WDT, which is now free, and Windows available remote deployment and management services, you will take less time to set it up and update everything when you use flat images. Setting up specific system images is much easier as well. And because it's MS, it has a default set of drivers included, so less need to be installed after the deployment. With ME, I see that if the NIC is not a Realtek, it bombs out on the deployment unless the image you created has the drivers in it. This deployment I'm working on is already several weeks behind, and I'm afraid it may not even get done 1st quarter this year (2023), and it's less than 250 deployments. I've already been working on this project for 2 months, and I've only deployed a dozen systems and imaged another dozen. The server gets pretty bogged down when I attempt to run more than 3 systems at a time, we are running on 2016 servers on a multi-fiber loop, and the data is only traveling within 5 miles. I'm running into lots of licensing issues... We are replacing systems, so why do I need a license for each pc that is "on" the network? Once I image the new system and deploy it to the user, it will only be 1 license used/needed. So why do I get licensing issues when I am trying to image a new system? With Microsoft, there is no license required as the service is free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is progressing through the imaging process and completing the project, albeit slowly and with limitations. I feel that I could be much more productive and confident that we are on track if we were using another solution. Alas, this is the system I was given to complete the work, and so I have to make do with it, as most of us consultants do.
Best and most userfriendly management tool for small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
It makes updating your clients a breeze, both Microsoft and 3rd party updates
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. Very solid product. I dont have any bad things to say.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its solving the problem of updating and keeping track of our 250 clients
Unified Endpoint Software
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about the tool is its ease of use and the unification of functions in a single tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I see that it is possible to improve and bring new features that other tools have, for example in DLP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to reduce the amount of endpoints I had in my environment.
Best for Software deployment and Patch Management - ManageEngine
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about ManageEngine Desktop Central is that it benefits Asset Management, Patch Management and Software Deployment. Previously we were using Acronis for Patch Management, which was very dreadful; we are delighted to migrate the Patch Management to ManageEngine Desktop Central.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard for a beginner to make a report with this tool; they need more expertise to create a report. If it had more options for reporting, it would be perfect for an IT professional to work on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were searching for a one-stop to automate our daily tasks; then, we had a few vendors on the list, and after a great discussion, we decided to take over the ManageEngine Desktop Central. We are now very much happy that it is automated with this software, but the added feature is that we are now using the Patch Management, also for Asset Management.
Best for Endpoint Management
What do you like best about the product?
I have tried other endpoint management systems and I have found this one to be my favorite. It's intuitive, easy to learn and configure, it's extensive in the features it provides, and they have amazing technical support. The automated patching of our computers has worked very well and the mobile device management has by far been better than Maas360, SOTI, and Samsung Manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike would be the remote connection issues I have with Android devices. It can be challenging to get connected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patching, MDM, inventory management. I am a one-man IT department and this is like having another employee helping.
