Usage of Dropbox for a Filmmaker

- Some competition has more space for less price

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need a lot of space for videos for my clients, they can watch the video right on the page and don't have to download it. They can write comments on the video and don't have to write them to me to email or something. Transfer option is super helpful just when i need to upload some files without giving them my space on dropbox. There are a lot of features that they are adding with time, that are being helpful so much to my work as filmmaker.

What do you like best about the product?
I can keep my most important data safe and available all the time. Also, I can collaborate on projects with anyone anywhere. Also, I can securely share docs with anyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
When uploading photos/scans from my phone, the process somehow seems not as seamless and smooth as e.g. Google Drive. Hence I end up using the latter sometimes. Also, the paid plans for Dropbox are more expensive than Google Drive. For smaller scale users (needing a few tens of GBs at most), it would be great if there were a cheaper plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

- Easy access to the documents when I need them on my phone and my laptop
- Easy to upload on the laptop (just drop/save in the Dropbox folder)
- Sync client available on all platforms (including Linux!)
- Easy to securely share doc with others

I can access my files from all over my devices

Life saver for Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
The best and most convenient function for Dropbox is the ability to sync my emails in Outlook with my this software. I travel and when I need a document that I edited on my home computer I'm confident in knowing that I can log into my account and what I'm looking for is there. It's been a true life saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I first started using Dropbox years ago I found it a bit challenging to learn. But now I feel like an expert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being more efficient with locating documents, images, sound bytes. I've found that having a backup that I can access from any location provides a sense of relief.

it allowed to run my business more smoothly, I have transitioned my data on to the Dropbox it allows me to access all over the net from different devices

I don't like that they don't have larger suite of applications like email or calender which something like Google has in their kitty

I write different articles and then share with my team , it helps me collaborate in neat and fast manner

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is intuitive and integrated. I work on a Mac and it is seamlessly integrated with Finder. It also works across all my other devices. Costing is fair.

It's hard to find fault to be honest. I've been using Dropbox for over a decade and won't easily shiftT

I store all my files in Dropbox so never have to worry about backups. Also all my presentations are available on all my devices. It is also very easy so share files and collaborate with others.

Dropbox backs up my files and has multiple versions I can access for 30 days without the need to manually upload or back up anything. I don't have to think about it and my files are safe.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to back up things in non-Dropbox folders, or to restore backups when I need to quickly compare multiple versions of the same file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to use files on my own computer and they are automatically backed up, with 30 days of file versions. Sometimes I get a corrupt file on my computer, or need to access a version of the file from a week ago, and Dropbox has my files ready to restore. It's not just a cloud storage; it's able to have versions without me thinking about it. I don't need to create a Git and commit or sync.

Constantly runs in the background, backs up photos easily and constantly adds new services for additional value

Cost is a big hurdle, also you need to ensure it hasn't crashed as a background application

What do you like best about the product?
The upside of using Dropbox is that my files are secure. I can easily share with my team. I don't have to constantly log in and I like that.

The downside of Dropbox is that I don't get to customize the color background of my file site.
