Fantastic software w/ poor support, problematic billing and lack of integrity

What do you like best about the product?
The software is stellar. It's powerful and stable and it helps our teams to execute our marketing plans very well. We've looked at a lot of marketing software and it is one of the top options on the market.

If you are a self-sufficient team with on-staff developers and technically savvy people it can be a fantastic tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Communication is poor and follow-through is the worst of any vendor we've worked with in years.

I can't even count the number of times a rep has made a commitment to us and then just not followed through. It's so bad that it's become an internal joke :/

The account reps, who are supposed to help us learn the tool and grow our business, seem to only be interested in us when a contract is due for renewal or when they are trying to extract more money from us.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Bloomreach has been an incredibly valuable tool for our business, there are a few areas where we feel there’s room for improvement:

Learning Curve for Advanced Features:
Although the platform is user-friendly for basic functions, some of the more advanced features—like fine-tuning AI personalization or configuring custom integrations—require deeper technical expertise. It would be helpful to have more step-by-step guides or on-demand tutorials for these areas.

Customization Limitations:
While Bloomreach is highly flexible, there are occasional limitations in customizing specific elements to meet our unique business needs. For example, adjusting certain workflows or tailoring dashboards could be made more intuitive.

Merchandising Rule Conflicts and Visibility:
When multiple boost/bury rules, synonyms, and pinning overlap, the final outcome can be hard to predict. Clearer rule diagnostics and conflict resolution tools would improve transparency.

Data Freshness and Catalog Sync:
Large catalog updates and inventory changes can take time to reflect everywhere. Faster, more visible sync status and clearer SLAs around data freshness would reduce operational friction.

Mobile and App Personalization:
Web capabilities are strong, but implementing consistent personalization within native mobile apps can require extra effort. Lighter SDKs and prescriptive templates would help speed adoption.

Localization Edge Cases:
Managing bilingual and regional variations at scale can be tedious, with occasional gaps in fallback rules or translation workflows. Enhanced localization tooling would improve efficiency.

Documentation and Community Resources:
Documentation is improving but can be uneven for advanced use cases. Expanded code samples, architecture blueprints, and an active community forum would accelerate learning.

We appreciate the many strengths of Bloomreach, but addressing these challenges—especially around advanced features, integrations, visibility into rules, and faster support—would make the platform even stronger and more impactful for our needs at Patrick Morin.

Search Relevance: The platform's advanced search functionality addresses the issue of customers struggling to find relevant products. By implementing Bloomreach, we've seen a marked decrease in search abandonment and an increase in successful product discoveries.

Bloomreach Discovery is solving the challenge of manual, time-consuming merchandising by providing AI-driven tools that automate and optimize product discovery.

Before using Bloomreach, our team spent a lot of time manually managing search results, category pages, and product placements. It was difficult to scale and often lacked the agility needed to respond to fast-changing trends or inventory shifts.

What do you like best about the product?
AI-powered personalization in Bloomreach allows our customers to deliver highly relevant content in real-time, a true game changer for e-commerce. Bloomreach integrates excellently with existing systems like SAP, Salesforce, or commercetools, extremely flexible due to the powerful API. Thanks to the modular architecture, we can deploy Bloomreach solutions very quickly. This excites our customers/ fast results, high conversion increase.
What do you dislike about the product?
For smaller use cases or customers with growing volume, a more transparent pricing model would be helpful. The initial configuration and data modeling require technical know-how. A simplified onboarding process for less technical users would be beneficial. A guided setup assistant or templates could create real added value here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data is distributed across systems and difficult to use. Problem: Customer data is located in CRM, ERP, shop systems, etc., and is not networked. Solution: The CDP from Bloomreach aggregates data sources and enables cross-channel segmentation. Central view of the customer, better management of journeys.

It is very important to think "right" from the start with the set up, it is difficult to change afterwards if you want to correct something.

What do you like best about the product?
The endless capabilites for all channels, personalisation, technical implementation, date & segmentation. Three years in the platform & we havent even scratched the surface.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing unhelpful about Bloomreach, it has totally levelled up our CRM systems & journeys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personalistion on website,Omni- channel approach, it has allowed us to move from just email to webpush, SMS, app & on-site customer journeys. Refinining segementation & scenario logic. There is so much!!

What do you like best about the product?
I like how Bloomreach allows you to really refine your audience and understand them better to create personalised journeys. The customer support that Bloomreach offers is also really helpful - they are quick to answer and often help solve a lot of queries I have. I use BR everyday and Im still learning new things on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is really complicated. You really have to know the platform to be able to use it to its full capability. It takes a lot of learning and there are some things on it that just take a really long time to do. The design aspect of it is a little bit clunky and requires knowledge of coding often times. Its not the most user friendly but when you start using the platform and learning more about it, you realise how much you can actually do on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bloomreach helps with our CRM emails and seeing what types of content works better with our audience through A/B testing.

What do you like best about the product?
What I value most are the extensive reporting dashboards, which I found lacking in other tools – they provide full visibility into performance and allow for quick, data-driven decisions. The documentation is very well written and enables independent implementation of many features without needing support from a technical team. The interface is also very intuitive and user-friendly, which makes everyday use much easier. An additional advantage is the ability to quickly contact the support team, as well as the advanced personalization and content management features
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, I don’t have any major complaints – the platform meets my expectations in terms of both functionality and usability. Only in the case of very advanced configurations does it require a bit more time to explore the system’s full capabilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bloomreach helped us finally bring everything into one place – content, product data, and customer insights. Before, we had to jump between different tools to manage campaigns, analyze performance, and personalize the experience. Now it’s all connected, and it saves us a lot of time. We can quickly launch personalized content and track how it performs in real time. It just makes our daily work smoother and helps us react faster to what our customers actually need.
