Personal Avatar Creation Made Synthesia the Clear Winner
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create a Personal Avatar was the single biggest factor in choosing Synthesia over competitors. The process to create the Avatar was longer and more data acquired to make it accurate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, the speech patterns aren't 100% and sometimes there is a pause when you don't want one, but overall, very good with avatar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to create presentations for a course on Kajabi that I had envisioned. I don't have a studio or great equipment to record myself frequently. I was able to create all of the videos and it is now live on Kajabi!

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Quite intuitive and not a lot of training required.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mostly the avatar gestures. They are too repetitive . Would be nice to be able to turn the gestures on and off.

Easy Video Creation with a Great Variety of Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it has a variety of avatars and it's easy to make a video.

The gestures don't look very natural, but it's not a big deal.

It helps me make advertising videos and instructional guides for my users.
Versatile Tool for Multilingual Professional Videos
What do you like best about the product?
I like the quite intuitive options of Synthesia, especially the large number of ready-made templates and available assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that managing animations on Synthesia is not always intuitive. It's not easy to understand how to insert animations at the right point in the video. I think the UX for managing animations could improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can generate professional, elegant, multilingual videos both with "actor" avatars and with avatars generated from previously captured human beings.
Effortless Video Creation, Needs Faster Moderation
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that with Synthesia, I can create different videos using either my personal avatar or the pre-installed avatars by just typing a script. The platform makes it easier for me because I don't need to do multiple takes due to errors like I used to when I created the videos myself. I find it convenient that once an avatar is chosen, the AI generates the video and even adds gestures, simplifying the content creation process. The initial setup was also very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The consent moderation time takes too long to review, sometimes up to 24 hours before a personal avatar video can be generated, which is quite unproductive. I'm also unable to set the tone of the script. I would like a feature to set an emotional tone for delivery in scripts, like using tags to enclose words, phrases, or sentences for different emotional tones like , , or .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to create diverse video content efficiently, using the same avatar with different scripts for varied content. It saves me from multiple takes due to errors. The AI-generated videos, complete with gestures, enhance storytelling and explanations.
Effortless Video Creation, Room for Avatar Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I love how fast and easy it is to turn a script into a polished video with Synthesia. It saves me a ton of production time, keeps everything consistent, and makes updates as simple as editing text. The speed and simplicity remove the usual production bottlenecks, allowing me to focus on the message while Synthesia handles the delivery. This tool speeds up production, makes updates effortless, and helps deliver accessible, multilingual content at scale. Setting it up was super easy—I was set up in under 10 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few things could be smoother. Some avatars and movements still feel a bit stiff, so the videos may not always look fully natural. I'd also love more customization options, especially around gestures, pacing, and on-screen interactions.

I use Synthesia to quickly create professional, consistent training videos without needing cameras or presenters. It speeds up production, simplifies updates, and allows for multilingual content delivery at scale.
Quick Templates, but Convincing Avatars Take Time to Perfect
What do you like best about the product?
Once you have a realistic video template set up with your own avatar, then its quick to create additional ones. There are plenty of ways to refine presentations in terms of transitions, but its a lot to learn. Also, considering that its AI, on the whole the avatars can deliver the scripts quite realistically. I'd say its prob 85% towards fooling someone that its a real person to camera.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a long time to get an avatar and video looking convincing. The mannerisms need tweaking and can seem out of place with the script. In addition, with presentation style videos with slides, even though you have duplicated a previouls slides settings, it can still look different, even with the zoom varying. Also, when you edit the videos / presentations, you cant really review them properly until you regenerate which can take 10 minutes. So it can be a long time to refine the video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speed of creating videos to accompany articles. It enables us to embed videos in the post as well as make the most of YouTube.
Best App for AI-Narrated Screen Recordings for Marketing and Training
What do you like best about the product?
My use case is to create screen recordings that have AI narrators for marketing and training. This is the best app that I have found for this for someone like me- fairly technical but my function is management not creative.
What do you dislike about the product?
AI chatbot needs improvement. As in many of these ai chatbots you often have to ask the question several times to get the answer you are looking for. This is a little worse than others I use, however, using Tess i want from zero to my first polished video in less than a day- so compared to non AI bots, or scrolling through youtubes it is still a massive improvement for getting up to speed on a new product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create short videos for posts and websites that combine screen recording with narration. I have used more technical video editing products for this use case and they are expensive and overkill- in fact they do not address this use case anywhere near as well as synthesia.
Efficient Program Delivery with Top-Notch Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
I really like Synthesia for its efficient delivery of programs. It allows me to deliver the program more efficiently without having to record all of the slides myself. It's the best online avatar that I've come across, which helps me in delivering programs in a consistent way using our own evidence-based content. I find it very valuable that I can envision using different avatars to reflect different ethnicities in our programs. The initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it limiting that I have to use an avatar of myself for my work. Recording the avatar feels very clunky, and the speed of my avatar is too fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to deliver my online nutrition programs more efficiently by not needing to record all the slides myself.
