What do you like best about the product?
I really like the AI Assistant feature that helps me create a video in minutes with a script, file, or URL. It saves me time and thought power, helping to build a solid first draft instead of trying to create something from scratch. The setup of Synthesia was really easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more professional avatars and voices to choose from. Since we work with law firms, avatars that have a professional look but soft facial features would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to manage time and reduce costs for creating marketing and training videos. The AI Assistant helps save time and eases the creative process by building a solid first draft.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Synthesia to be a very professional platform. The feedback I'm getting has been extremely positive, and everyone loves the avatar videos. It's extremely easy for me to use Synthesia to quickly get videos out. The idea that Synthesia lets me use the avatars and all the different camera angles and everything makes it a very professional setup in a small amount of time. It was very easy to set up initially.
What do you dislike about the product?
The educational process on how the program works I have gotten hung up on specific items such as editing where I didn't realize when I start to edit a video that it's going to take at least forty five minutes to actually be ready for me to view, and then I have to go back and re-edit it. If there was a process here that could tighten that up, it would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia saves me time by eliminating the need to film and create videos myself. It allows me to quickly assemble videos for my real estate program, speeding up the process significantly.

It’s especially effective for training and instructional content because updates are fast and the look and delivery stay consistent. The ability to scale content and easily localize it into multiple languages makes it a huge time-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the avatars feel stiff or slightly unnatural, which can make the delivery less engaging. It also has limitations when it comes to emotional storytelling or highly customized visuals. For more dynamic or personality-driven content, it can feel a bit restrictive.

I love how easy it is to create and edit videos in Synthesia. The wide range of avatars and audio voices is fantastic, and I especially appreciate being able to change pronunciations instantly. The ability to import a variety of images and videos is super helpful, and the new transition animations are nice to have. I really like using different avatars for training videos across different industries like healthcare, CMT, and mortgage banking to maintain consistency.

Animations -- Please work on it. Need more transition animations. More layouts.

it solves the time consumed producing company reps' videos. It also helps us control the narrative of the content and the ability to scale up the volumen of content needed.
AI-Powered Video Creation Simplifies Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Synthesia for supporting technical documentation in our internal developer portal Backstage. It creates documents in a way that allows people to learn in their preferred style, which is a big improvement over just narrating the documents with audio software. I like how the AI tooling lets me pass a document to it, and it automatically produces a supporting and engaging document. It's also particularly useful for presenting, especially for those who aren't comfortable presenting themselves. The feature to pass loads of technical information from techdocs to form a professional, templated video is something I couldn't find in other tools. The initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having API access on the lower pricing plans would have been nice, to allow me to automate this via our CI pipelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia for technical documentation in Backstage, supporting different learning styles beyond reading. Its AI transforms documents into engaging videos. It aids those uncomfortable with presenting and is unique in handling technical information effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
I definitely like how Synthesia offers plenty of templates to use. I can grab layouts of all different kinds for my videos. I also like how natural the voices are for these videos. The animation feature for scene transition is great because if I'm using other video editing platforms like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro, it would take me forever to create animations, but with Synthesia, it's just one click. Additionally, I like how Synthesia provides options to generate video using Sora or other video options because sometimes those AI videos can enhance the scenario for my video. On top of that, I really love the PDF to video and PowerPoint to video options. Those make it much easier to create a video with just a few clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have a lot that doesn't work for me. Maybe the only thing is about the studio view. It is a little bit difficult to edit the script while I see it along with the video screen. But I think they did the improvement just now to enable the full screen view for the script as typing section so that I can actually focus on elaborating the scripts a little bit more. Maybe the dashboard could be improved. The dashboard usually has a lot of information on it. So I wish it could be more concise and simple so I know exactly where I wanna go.

Synthesia generates natural English voices from scripts, saving costs on voice actors. It efficiently converts scripts and PDFs into audio-video formats with voice avatars, boosting workflow efficiency.

I like the customizable features. I have enjoyed developing custom AI avatars of employees to make the content feel more authentic.

There are some limitations to the voice. There are some places where it sounds a little wonky. The pronunciation feature does help with this though.
