Levels the Playing Field Against Fraud, But Accuracy Can Improve

Ability to have a level playing field with fraudsters

Sometimes accuracy is not correct and is too sensitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to create content that is professional and clear
Great AI Translation with Real Voice and Lip Sync, but a some limitations need to be worked through.
What do you like best about the product?
I initially chose Synthesia after it was recommended for AI-powered video translation. There are three standout features in this area:
1. It translates spoken content with about 90% accuracy,
2. It preserves the speaker’s original voice, tone, and intonation, and it offers a lip sync function that elevates the experience by making it appear as though the person is genuinely speaking the selected language—this works best with front-facing footage rather than side views.
3. Uploading a video for translation is straightforward, and the user interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate.
Being a new user, I was very impressed with customer support helping answer questions to my problems (learning curve issues).

What do you dislike about the product?
While the video translation is outstanding there are a few drawbacks:
1. Sometimes Synthesia gets the translation wrong, and when you go to edit to make corrections, it will not allow those corrections. There should be a way to allow this, ie in one of my videos the subject was talking about Paintball, Synthesia heard it as Ping Pong and would not allow me to edit it!
2. Sythesia provides a literal translation, and sometimes words have different meanings or it is a "turn of phrase", Synthesia does not allow for these corrections (I understand you are wanting Synthesia to learn, but maybe there needs some new function, or tick box that allows it in this instance, that Synthesia will not apply to its learning algorithm?
As I am new to Synthesia, and wanted to explore more capabilities, i discovered some other frustrating limitations. For example, while I can upload a 3GB video for translation, I can only upload a 250Mb video into my media folder to use for other creations.
Then, in wanting to use a 3 minute video and add narration and other AI content, when I drop the video into my project, it limits it to 6 seconds!! I looked for help guides, videos BUT there is nothing!!

Elevated Training with Innovative AI Features
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Synthesia for just under a year primarily as an educational tool to train our sales team on various company policies and sales and marketing strategies. Synthesia has proven to be incredibly valuable by transforming our predominantly text-based training materials into engaging AI-generated videos that capture attention and improve retention rates. Having videos integrated into our training and continuing education platforms has significantly enhanced the learning experience. I particularly appreciate Synthesia's ability to convert documents, like policies or step-by-step guides, into videos using AI, which streamlines our process of creating instructional content. The ease of establishing templates to facilitate video production is another beneficial aspect that saves time. Furthermore, the feature that allows the creation of a personal avatar with a brief recording is remarkable. This means I can incorporate my familiar face into training videos without re-recording, eliminating errors and saving effort on post-production edits. I am also enthused about Synthesia’s upcoming technology that will enable interactive communication through AI avatars, making user interaction within training modules even more effective. This innovation, coupled with the general ease of use of the software, truly enriches our organizational training efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some of the restrictions in place due to not having an enterprise account annoying. Additionally, there is a significant cost jump from the creator plan to the enterprise plan. It would be beneficial to have an intermediate plan for businesses that need more than what the creator plan offers but do not require the full enterprise plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Synthesia to convert text-heavy training materials into engaging videos, enhancing attention and retention among our staff. It integrates seamlessly with our learning platform, allowing interactive learning without leaving the software.
Great for AI instructional videos
What do you like best about the product?
Fantastic, versatile software for producing avatar videos. Really easy to use and navigate. The new Express 2 avatars are great - very life like. The new AI voices are good too. very expressive most of the time. Good range of options on voice, avatar, background etc to get it right.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes your videos don't turn out the way you want and you've burned credits and minutes to generate abortive work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Synthesia as part of a workflow to create AI driven online educational content.
Unreasonable and Premature Platform
What do you like best about the product?
You have the option to add music to your clips, which is a nice feature. The avatars are also of good quality.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Japanese language generation is extremely poor and requires a significant amount of time to correct the pronunciation. The moderation process is highly subjective and often unreasonable. Even after spending a lot of time working on clips, they are frequently rejected with explanations that make little sense or, at times, with no explanation at all.
On one occasion, a video was initially accepted, but there were still issues with the Japanese pronunciation. After fixing these errors and resubmitting the video to improve the quality, it was suddenly rejected for unclear reasons, accompanied by a final warning.
This experience has been very frustrating. The platform is unreliable and inconsistent. I cannot recommend Synthesia to Japanese users, as the service is not ready to be a paid product.

Impressive AI Dubbing and Exciting Upcoming Features

The ai dubbing and the new features coming on the road map

I would like more training resources to be available, some are available and they are good.. just want more

Translation and ease of use for content creation for learning material
Effortless Video Creation, But Policy Clarity Needed
What do you like best about the product?
The AI video makes it easy to create new videos. I like the upload a script or cut and paste a script options. These features make it really easy to create professional videos with little effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a few videos rejected due to financial policy issues. When I researched the issue, the policies were not clear, so I couldn't edit the script to comply. It suggested using a personal avatar, so in the process of creating one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Synthesia helps us to create additional financial literacy content within our budget. As a non-profit organization, our budget is limited especially when it comes to technology. Synthesia helps us create new video content and trainings to keep our curriculum fresh and relevent.
Personalized Avatars and Consistent Training, But Pricey
What do you like best about the product?
I'm able to create an avatar based on myself so I have options when I create content. And I'm able to standardize my trainings to be uniformed for delivery
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost! It's so expensive for the little recording time allocated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to create videos and content for New Employee Orientation, branded to my company, and it's the same information being delivered weekly.
Intuitive and Powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive features and controls. Once you get the hang of it it's a very easy-to-use but powerful tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really nothing, the main challenge is that we're a medium sized business but can only have 1 user on the account editing and creating videos unless we upgrade to Enterprise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
These first 3 Phases for release through our business are centred around creating video content to supplement our external-facing training material. Once this is complete we'll definitely be exploring Synthesia for our internal Onboarding content and Rev teams.
User-Friendly with Diverse Avatars
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, great variation of avatars/narrators.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if you could edit the pace of the narration (more than just the pauses).
