A learning that focuses on access, engagement, and impact!
What do you like best about the product?
I love D2L's dedication to ensuring a learner can access engaging content. D2L Brightspace is a well developed, easy to use platform that offers features that create engaging and personalized content. There are dozens of 3rd party products that can be integrated to support and personalize learning making it more impactful because it is enjoyable and easy to navigate. D2L Brightspace also focuses on access of resources through the Community and Learning Center to ensure both learners and builders alike know how to interact with the platform. They take it one step further by ensuring the customer has access to supportive and educated Customer Success and Account Managers that empower successful implementation and guide continuious improvement.
What do you dislike about the product?
New users may be overwhelmed by all the available options and features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L Brightspace is empowering our teams by being able to reach more of our external clients and stakeholders with access to foundational training content.
The benefits we are experiencing are an increase in the number of individuals successfully implementing and completing our processes thus impacting the communities they serve. Additionally, employees are more intentional and able to focus on relationships and personalized empowerment.

What do you like best about the product?
Stable sytem for our users; good integration options with other products; easy to navigate for users on mobile and desktop; many built-in tools that support heavy usage; implementation should be easy if you're not migrating from another LMS, but even if you are they offer many import options; documentation is good for both end-users and admins
What do you dislike about the product?
Settings/config options can be hard to find at times because they're spread out

It provides a central repository for course-related materials and activities. A system of this nature is criticial to the functioning of the business.

Dynamic, easy-to-use interface with an easy-to-access toolbar, efficient technical support, allows content customization

We are dedicated to teaching online courses, we required a tool that streamlines the teaching process, the creation of courses, the classes are uploaded without complications, it integrates with other tools, the lessons are stored in the cloud facilitating access for student, the grading process is simple and fast

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Brightspace is the ease it gives the teacher to administer and manage all their educational resources, allowing them to focus on the teaching-learning process.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a teacher, something that was difficult for me was understanding the logistics for exporting/importing information from one course to another or organizing the grading section. These two sections generated several errors until I managed to understand it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a large number of teachers, who in turn have a large number of courses and students, it was necessary to have a platform that would allow us to better organize information, assignments, evaluations and grades. This way, everything is condensed in Brightspace and teachers can have better control. Likewise, parents of students can provide more timely follow-up.
D2L is a great tool to use
What do you like best about the product?
D2L provides excellent ways to organize courses and easily manage content. You and your students can easily utilize announcements and discussion boards to stay engaged with the course and remain connected with one another.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of the tools that D2L Brightspace offers, such as the accessibility checker, can be difficult to find, especially for faculty who are learning how to use D2L. Incorporating different grading systems (points-based vs weight-based) is not as easy as it should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L Brightspace works hard to solve accessibility issues with course materials and ensures that accessibility is a top priority, which benefits me in my role as an accessibility coordinator since D2L and I both share the same priorities.
Best Software For Students
What do you like best about the product?
Everything is available online, accessing different courses is very easy on a single platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to have quick reminders on email if any assignment due date is pending for that I have to separately download another app Pulse.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It puts all my task, assignment quizzes, study material in single place and easy to access than having multiple accounts for each subject.
Feature-rich LMS with best-in-class integrated training features.
What do you like best about the product?
In our organization the software represents a great value because it is very easy to create educational content within the platform, it is important to provide a complete training without interruptions and the tools of this LMS are perfectly suited to our needs, the software adapts to the instructors and can track the progress of the student from the platform, it is also possible to create alerts to keep abreast of any developments in the courses. Within the platform when logging in we have the option of templates for the courses, and report generation to manage all those who have access to the platform. The staff is very competent and always provide solutions to any problems that arise within the platform. The interface is certainly well-structured, students can understand it easily and the registration process is very simple, it is possible to reward deserving students and award points for goals achieved, this keeps students interested and forces them to have to overcome to get more bonuses.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functions as administrator can be improved in the next updates, the price is not a barrier, but nevertheless it is more expensive than other software of its characteristics, the customization options of templates and courses are accurate, but could add more content. The integration options with other platforms are limited, we need the software to keep growing. The calendar option in some cases does not work properly. The interface has a great design, but it would be fun to be able to make modifications perhaps to the dashboard functions, more customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently an organization that is dedicated to the education and training of professionals in the IT area, we perform corporate training, training and education. This software allows us to manage to a great extent those professionals that we train using the tools of courses, creation and content and professional training that only D2L Brightspace offers within its interface, thanks to this tool we have achieved a better adjustment of content. Currently, we have designed within the platform courses in mobile development, web development, civil training, and graphic design all this content is uploaded to the platform to assist in the training and preparation of the student for evaluations, we were a little reluctant at the time of implementing virtual training, but it has been worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
D2L without doubt is a highly valued tool in the academic area, the field options are very interesting I like that I can keep track of the progress of the class on the platform, I can keep track of the amount of content to which the student has had access and has completed satisfactorily, including grades and quizzes. The news feature is another very attractive feature is deployed from the taskbar and can be pinned to notifications so that the student is kept aware of new content, future quizzes or any activity they want to complete. Students can be rewarded, and not only that, they can also be assigned certificates or badges, a very complete option to motivate students to improve their grades. From D2L it is also possible to set up a virtual classroom, take courses through video conferences, the tool is undoubtedly versatile and should be taken into account for online classes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first detail that I would like to update would be the interface, it is very ambiguous, and it would be excellent to get more customization, when I try to upload a video for assignments from Google Drive I have to try several times, the same happens with OneDrive, I hope for a solution to this problem since I like to upload video content. It seems to me an overpriced LMS, I hope there are updates of plans for the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The space of this program has benefited us in many aspects especially for the subjects that are taught online, I currently have a virtual classroom established, and I am very happy with the results, students access regularly, and it is possible for me to explain and evaluate from the platform, I have designed some courses that I upload to the platform, and it is useful for those who cannot attend classes since all the content is in the cloud, and they always have access to review from the quizzes, I also use it to assign course grades, and it allows me to have more control over what content each student has completed which results in easier grading.
Powerful educational tool for evaluating students and instructors.
What do you like best about the product?
D2L is a very complete software since it combines an online learning environment, homework grader, virtual environment and video evaluations, which makes the student feel comfortable when entering the platform from the beginning, as an instructor I want to emphasize that I like to be able to assign badges and value the achievements of the students within the platform, I consider that this greatly encourages the desire to learn. I love the option of uploading elements or extracting didactic material from media such as YouTube. Automatic notifications can also be scheduled, in fact, students who are underperforming can be flagged for consideration, the ability to integrate with Google Drive allows you to import files hosted on the platform. I also like the content management features, assessments, and quizzes, I think they are well done and can be put to good use in a group of students.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced few errors within the platform, the only problem I currently have been a simple error of uploading any assignments and content for the student I have checked my internet connection, and it is fine, I hope you solve this problem soon. I have also received a few errors, of items not syncing correctly I believe all of these problems may be due to bandwidth, however, I hope you can check.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We train instructors using the platform, as well as students interested in taking electives, I consider it a very versatile tool that can be used to improve the performance of students, I have managed to import some courses that I teach, and I have even been able to evaluate in a better way since I implemented the platform. I have also used it to promote courses, this is a very good option that I like since I can monetize my work.
