Vendor refund policy
If you wish to cancel your Services, D2L will offer you a complete refund when you cancel your Services within 48 hours after payment in the AWS Marketplace (the "Refund Period"). Thereafter, D2L does not offer refunds. To cancel your service and request a refund, you must contact AWS Marketplace customer support. Except as otherwise explicitly indicated by D2L, all fees hereunder are non-cancelable and non-refundable.

What do you like best about the product?
D2L Brightspace has a clean interface with easy, intuitive navigation. It’s user-friendly and packed with features that make teaching and learning enjoyable. Modules flow well, and the menus keep learning and assessment materials organized and easy to find. It also seems designed with cognitive load in mind, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the options feel a bit “buried,” in the sense that you have to enable one thing before other settings even appear. That can create a “you don’t know what you don’t know” situation, because it’s easy to stay in a need-to-know bubble. When changes are released, you can miss new features or options that aren’t front and center.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They’re improving how accessible learning is, and that’s a good thing for everyone!

What do you like best about the product?
From a technical point of view, I appreciate the UI, how easy it is to integrate third-party vendors, and how straightforward it is to support faculty with any technical issues that come up.
What do you dislike about the product?
On our platform, we’re still using D2L in Classic mode, and I don’t like that all the new features are currently being implemented only in the New Lessons plan. It makes it feel like the Classic content experience has been overlooked and largely forgotten.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance is a big one for us. At our college, especially at the beginning of the semester, D2L is visited by numerous students, and it has been able to meet our demands without slowing down. In the past, this used to be an issue, but now D2L can handle all the student traffic with no downtime.

What do you like best about the product?
It has a low learning curve for both admins and end users. There are many features that, when enabled, let instructors tailor courses and curriculum to fit their specific needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s very user-friendly in academic environments. However, when I was a system admin, it didn’t feel set up for use by corporate entities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provided an excellent way to deliver online courses to students, with flexible options that allowed the course to fit the needs of the instructor, the students, and the course content.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a familiar platform that we have been using as an institution for over 15 years. I like that there have been improvements to the assessment tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides of the system are that most of the product development focus is on additional features that we do not have in the Brightspace Core package. I'd like to see continued development in the core product in addition to the add-on's. It seems like every update that comes out is for something that is not in our contract (Lumi, Performance Plus, Creator+, Analytics, etc.) I wish there were more options for AI in the core product as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We obviously have to have an institutional LMS to serve students in a higher education setting. We are able to customize features, but many of our APIs have been written in house to solve problems that Brightspace has been unable to solve.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI can be confusing at times, but it’s responsive and reacts quickly when I use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a large number of files are uploaded, especially heavier files, the app starts to lag and feels slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It brings everything together in one place, which makes it easier to find what I need.
