Feature-rich LMS with best-in-class integrated training features.
What do you like best about the product?
In our organization the software represents a great value because it is very easy to create educational content within the platform, it is important to provide a complete training without interruptions and the tools of this LMS are perfectly suited to our needs, the software adapts to the instructors and can track the progress of the student from the platform, it is also possible to create alerts to keep abreast of any developments in the courses. Within the platform when logging in we have the option of templates for the courses, and report generation to manage all those who have access to the platform. The staff is very competent and always provide solutions to any problems that arise within the platform. The interface is certainly well-structured, students can understand it easily and the registration process is very simple, it is possible to reward deserving students and award points for goals achieved, this keeps students interested and forces them to have to overcome to get more bonuses.
What do you dislike about the product?
The functions as administrator can be improved in the next updates, the price is not a barrier, but nevertheless it is more expensive than other software of its characteristics, the customization options of templates and courses are accurate, but could add more content. The integration options with other platforms are limited, we need the software to keep growing. The calendar option in some cases does not work properly. The interface has a great design, but it would be fun to be able to make modifications perhaps to the dashboard functions, more customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently an organization that is dedicated to the education and training of professionals in the IT area, we perform corporate training, training and education. This software allows us to manage to a great extent those professionals that we train using the tools of courses, creation and content and professional training that only D2L Brightspace offers within its interface, thanks to this tool we have achieved a better adjustment of content. Currently, we have designed within the platform courses in mobile development, web development, civil training, and graphic design all this content is uploaded to the platform to assist in the training and preparation of the student for evaluations, we were a little reluctant at the time of implementing virtual training, but it has been worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
D2L without doubt is a highly valued tool in the academic area, the field options are very interesting I like that I can keep track of the progress of the class on the platform, I can keep track of the amount of content to which the student has had access and has completed satisfactorily, including grades and quizzes. The news feature is another very attractive feature is deployed from the taskbar and can be pinned to notifications so that the student is kept aware of new content, future quizzes or any activity they want to complete. Students can be rewarded, and not only that, they can also be assigned certificates or badges, a very complete option to motivate students to improve their grades. From D2L it is also possible to set up a virtual classroom, take courses through video conferences, the tool is undoubtedly versatile and should be taken into account for online classes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first detail that I would like to update would be the interface, it is very ambiguous, and it would be excellent to get more customization, when I try to upload a video for assignments from Google Drive I have to try several times, the same happens with OneDrive, I hope for a solution to this problem since I like to upload video content. It seems to me an overpriced LMS, I hope there are updates of plans for the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The space of this program has benefited us in many aspects especially for the subjects that are taught online, I currently have a virtual classroom established, and I am very happy with the results, students access regularly, and it is possible for me to explain and evaluate from the platform, I have designed some courses that I upload to the platform, and it is useful for those who cannot attend classes since all the content is in the cloud, and they always have access to review from the quizzes, I also use it to assign course grades, and it allows me to have more control over what content each student has completed which results in easier grading.

What do you like best about the product?
D2L is a very complete software since it combines an online learning environment, homework grader, virtual environment and video evaluations, which makes the student feel comfortable when entering the platform from the beginning, as an instructor I want to emphasize that I like to be able to assign badges and value the achievements of the students within the platform, I consider that this greatly encourages the desire to learn. I love the option of uploading elements or extracting didactic material from media such as YouTube. Automatic notifications can also be scheduled, in fact, students who are underperforming can be flagged for consideration, the ability to integrate with Google Drive allows you to import files hosted on the platform. I also like the content management features, assessments, and quizzes, I think they are well done and can be put to good use in a group of students.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced few errors within the platform, the only problem I currently have been a simple error of uploading any assignments and content for the student I have checked my internet connection, and it is fine, I hope you solve this problem soon. I have also received a few errors, of items not syncing correctly I believe all of these problems may be due to bandwidth, however, I hope you can check.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We train instructors using the platform, as well as students interested in taking electives, I consider it a very versatile tool that can be used to improve the performance of students, I have managed to import some courses that I teach, and I have even been able to evaluate in a better way since I implemented the platform. I have also used it to promote courses, this is a very good option that I like since I can monetize my work.

What do you like best about the product?
D2L Brightspace is an educational platform where the tool management option for students is very well-designed, the functionality as an educational model is very interactive, integrates calendars, groups and discussion forums where students and teachers can interact with each other, we even have at our disposal an integrated email system where we can communicate for evaluations, quizzes, among other things that bring the package. It integrates very well with the email platforms Gmail and Microsoft Office 365, so we can manage all the educational content via email, the interface in the form of mosaic is very complete in fact I love the design has been updated and looks better. It is comfortable to review the work we send to students or professionals who want to expand their knowledge, we can rate this option I like it because I can do it directly from the platform, to the answers I can add comments is very interactive system D2L Brightspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the academic level I have few complaints about the product has been well received among students and teachers, there have been in the minority common errors for example with the courses as the package sometimes is not recognized by the platform, may be due to the file format however I have noticed that they have been improving, I think it has to do with not being able to decompress, but the support team has acted well in this regard always remain concerned, other errors can be noted with the issue of HTML since it throws an error that is not valid, especially when importing packages, I managed to solve it using an XML validator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an interactive space where I can create and upload content of interest to my students, classes can be attached without any problem, by integrating with Zoom I can fully dictate my modules via streaming, the tool is very useful for evaluations where I can enter and send reports that are then answered by students, grades is another model that has integrated and saves me a lot of time because I do not have to do it manually. I can upload content according to the student's grade, where they interact with the forums and prepare for future evaluations. Thanks to this system I have been able to teach my subject online without problems with good results.
Improve professional teaching methodologies, using the D2L tools.
What do you like best about the product?
As an instructor being able to pin announcements on top of the announcement widget and on the tools page is priceless as it saves me a lot of time when I want to give important news, D2L has the most extensive options to create and add courses in fact you can add enrollment rules, the interface is very simple to understand just enter D2L and select any course you want to add, or you can simply use the widget which is initially pinned. The administration and creation of modules is another highlight of the software, it is very versatile the option to add external files from my computer is as easy as drag and drop. Possibility to edit and upload text templates, but also offer the facility of prefabricated templates already customized by the same platform D2L. It has a lot of customization when using the editor and documents because for example you can set visibility options, you can add restrictions and even manage learning objectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system often feels slow, for example, if I want to customize a document, or add ratings to move from one step to another can take time to load, the internet connection is fine I hope they improve this, I would like more customization especially of widgets so far the option to anchor ads is excellent I hope we can see better solutions in the future, prefabricated templates that offer are of good quality, but can improve the design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, it is an effective tool to educate online, I use it perform online evaluations to management students, very useful also to store class information such as questionnaries, with these solutions the student never gets bored and always has an online platform to learn and evaluate themselves. The curriculum is also taught from the platform I have been able to take my subject to a more online level, in the postgraduate area it has also influenced a lot since now we can upload that serves for the training of future teachers in the area of finance.

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is easy to understand, you can add general information or a welcome message for any group you create within the platform, this makes it an interactive experience for users. Courses can be scheduled by dates up to 7 days in advance, i.e. you can schedule the entire course of a subject to be taught without the need to be entering the platform every day. The option of assigning tasks to the student mass is quite practical, in fact, you can add categories by tasks, you can also register events or hide users who are no longer in the course or have withdrawn. The tool is quite versatile and interactive when it comes to creating forums for discussions, you can add topics you want to focus on and discuss them. I love the option to develop quizzes as I can categorize them and assign them by groups, the tool performs well and has been successfully taken up by the entire student body.
What do you dislike about the product?
My first complaint is regarding the language, the translation to other languages many times does not take it correctly, it only offers 3 ways of rating I wish there were other options in this section, little information for the feedback of people who do not know the program, I hope the support team starts working on this is very necessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We felt the need to implement D2L services because we needed a platform where users could develop their capabilities to the fullest, so we adopted this system, with this platform we can evaluate students correctly with a weighted point system. It is also a very powerful organizational tool giving us the ability to group of students in the program and assign them tasks and quizzes, it is also very useful when it comes to conducting quizzes with this there is better preparation for the quizzes that we develop on the same platform and apply.

What do you like best about the product?
easy to use LMS that has all the features that we are looking for and also has all the features that our post secondaries and schools want to see in an LMS. Like the ability to setup Microcredentials and would like to see further advancements.
What do you dislike about the product?
The release conditions have changed since May 2023 that doesnt allow the visit all content and topics selection to disregard non-mandatory sections to be completed by the user. THe Microcredential stacking strategy should be more easy to use when trying to stack many courses together towards a final certificate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to host courses for schools to take and also provideing microdential strateg for micro learning.

What do you like best about the product?
Brightspace is really simple to use. I think that is what I like most: it's simplicity. It is very straight forward, and you dont have to go through a million steps to do something.
What do you dislike about the product?
After using brightspace for a while, I haven't really noticed anything as a downside. It is all pretty simple and straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think brightspace is very inclusive, and it closes the gap between the older generation and technology. It is great for all users, not only the newer generation.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind - I generally enjoy using the learning environment for content development and course facilitation. I am interested in learning more about strategic implementation and I am gaining a lot of insights by attending Fusion 2023.
