Very user friendly Learning Management System
What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Brightspace is how easy it is to understand how to use the different tools and widgets. The interface is very intuitive and has many possibilities. The look and feel is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Brightspace would be even better if the different tools for Quizzes, Assignments and Discussions etc. would all work similar. I know Brightspace is working hard on that! The recent Quiz updae already made working with Brightspace a lot better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, teachers has to email all their studnets their feedback and grades. They had to calculate everything using different tools and communicate it to their students. Now thanks to Brightspace, everything is automated, this saves a lot of time, and also prevents manual errors!

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to change the traditional image to lessons and being able to centralize information.
It is easy to use and you can schedule your own activities with the task function in the calendar.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that don't work properly like Caption, or you have multiple routes to get to the same place. I also don't like that users can't change or remember their password
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The centralization of information, teachers have constant evidence of student work. Multimedia content can also be created with the video note option. And the feedback is very efficient because you can do it through the platform itself.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can easily navigate courses. Buttons at the top come in very handy. It is nice to be able to switch from one course to the next. I like how each course is personalized with pics & colors.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit confusing and difficult to figure out how to grade items and what needs grading. The option to publish all feedback at once to me is unnecessary.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is saving my organization a lot of money as opposed to Blackboard. That helps to provide at least some temporary job security. The support has been very helpful as well.
A good LMS if you have standard needs.
What do you like best about the product?
The community where I can ask any question I want and in 24 hours I have an answer by an employee or other client.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of editing in the Intelligent Agents, the lack of templates for course creation. The fact that some things need you to scoop them out and finding them is not intuitive/prominent enough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A straightforward LMS better suited for learners with traditional needs like quizzes, surveys, certificates.
If I won the lottery, I would still work. That is how much I love D2L
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, clean design. Our students love it and the Pulse App. I think what I love best is the ability to create engaging and beautiful courses. I love working with it so much that if I had won the lottery, I would keep working. Its only because of this LMS that I can say that.
What do you dislike about the product?
All really works great, I love the tools and how simple they are to configure. I think what could be better is just their help desk support. While OK, I find sometimes that I have to go back and forth. However, the good news is I rarely have to send in a support ticket. Yah, so thats pretty awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instructor workload, keep things consistent! They are keeping Assignments, Discussions and Quizzes all the same look which makes it so much easier for Instructors. Then knowing that video aspect since the pandemic and increasing the Video Note tool.
Brightspace helped us create a new school "building."
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is just amazing and lets us do what we need to in order to engage with our students.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only negative is that Brightspace is not (yet) linked with all of the software apps we use, but they are working on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to completely restructure our school and Brightspace was the solution. Our metrics have soared through the roof thanks to our use of Brightspace.

There are always more possibilities, but I'm glad that D2L is working on a lot op updates which makes that possible!

Keeping track of all the grades, being able to grade papers with multiple instructors.

It's very easy to use, make sure teachers get the right support to get started and then they are ready to go!
A User-Friendly Platform with Top-Notch Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
We were looking for a new LMS for a smaller institution with a good number of users who are tech-hesitant. Brightspace was intuitive for instructors and learners. Best of all, the customer service in the sales and training process was top-notch! I also love that Brightspace continues to evolve with the pedagogical landscape!
What do you dislike about the product?
We are primarily a residential institution, and sometimes it seems that Brightspace is geared toward online or remote learning contexts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have learned the value of setting up long-term solutions in Brightspace - like question banks for quizzes, tests that can be reused in future sections, and learning outcomes that can be used for assessment across different courses in the curriculum.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Brightspace is intuitive and user-friendly. It is designed with pedagogy in mind, and the company prioritizes customer service.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that D2L keeps the course visually organized. The dashboard's configurability and the fact that the modules work well together (e.g. Assignments and Calendar) really stand out to me. I'd say that it ranks among the top competitors with many of the same features and a simpler, more intuitive student interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I often have to recreate things from scratch such as survey questions, rubrics, and announcements. I find the report's functionality to be limited and unintuitive. The ability to generate and email certificates would also be a great feature, in addition to being able to have announcements be emailed to participants. Having nested modules would be another level of customization that we'd appreciate for course organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
D2L Brightspace helped us create a professional course with far less administrative effort than would have been required without it. It was simple enough to figure out for first-time users and advanced enough that we could do most of the customization we wanted.
Best choice for Corporate Learning and LAM support is phenomenal!
What do you like best about the product?
Every step of the process from research on their product, implementation and support are the best. Our Learning Administration Manager is priceless! Having her to support and guide our internal team is the best decision we have made.

Nothing to dislike, we have had excellent service and support throughout our process.
