The Brightspace is a very good LMS,
What do you like best about the product?
High availability, UX. with many qualities, the UX is excellent. Interconnectivity with other platforms is a plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gradeable activities are limited to 3 options: Discussion, assignments and quizzes. For example, it does not have a collaborative work tool (Native) where soft skills are promoted.
Another issue to improve is to include in the quizzes, interaction type questions (drag and drop). Another issue but not less important is that the questionnaires do not have the option to parameterize the closing of the questionnaire automatically when the mandatory time is over and it is graded.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improve user experience and content accessibility, integration with Office 365 and TEAMS. Starting from 0 is complex and always needs an expert.
Brightspace has many advantages but also has many features to develop.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can design resources with HTML, the learning paths and the math question that allows designing a exam for each students with different data
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Brightspace does not have an anti-plagiarism tool.
2. Brightspace does not have a "wiki" tool.
3. BS does not weigh each rubric criterion.
4. BS does not allow to import rubrics.
5. BS does not allow you to evaluate each assignment attempt.
6. BS does not allow you to schedule when a resource (PowerPoint slide or test) can be available for students.
7. BS does not allow you to copy a unit within the same course.
8. BS does not individually assess a student that is working within a study group in case a student did not collaborate in a group assessment.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love that I can design an exam for each student.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an excellent LMS.
BS for distance and in person learning
What do you like best about the product?
- I like how the dashboard shows all of the courses in a mosaic style.
- Students can identify missing assignments through grades
- I like the little icon that shows that students submitted the assignment without me having to open it

What do you dislike about the product?
- I wish there was a way to post in bulk: That one announcement could be posted to more than one class
- glitchy sometimes
- I feel like getting to your end goal takes too many clicks
I wish we could incorporate our zoom links there, and kids could access the call through BS instead of posting the link on our announcements. Submission is sometimes glitchy. Sometimes, uploaded documents take some time to load or get stuck.
I wish there were some form that kids could edit a submission live.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all courses available on the same platform. Having the same platform for administrative information and courses in the same format. We needed a way to communicate with parents and students through the same platform. I like that we have an app. The module format is easy to follow independently. We needed a platform that the students could follow independent
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you play around with your sandbox to get used to the navigation system
allocate enough time to draft announcements - maybe leave them scheduled so that it saves you time
play around with the grade book
have fun and do not be scaed to play around with the format

D2L Review
What do you like best about the product?
The User Interface is easy to use and intuitive. I always do anything you need in just a few clicks, and I love how the content is well displayed on every device I use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like when the material for the course is presented just the rigth way, everything aligned all well functioning, and while most of the time the experience is seaminless I must admit that there are certain courses that are not displayed exactly as the designers intended; usually, this involves courses generated for another LMS. In these specific cases, some links do not work as intended. I'm glad about the current functionality, but I genuinely believe that if the development personnel can focus on compatibility issues, it will become an outstanding experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first and most crucial problem solved using D2L Brightspace (in our Institution) was overcoming these challenging times with the current pandemic. D2L enabled us to continue with the classes. Most of the students and professors loved how easy it was to continue their meetings in the online modality.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please focus on the requirement of your students. It was a charming surprise to have direct access to the library software of my institution, all the articles and papers I required all in one click.
An excellent LMS to administrate your school courses, good tutorials and big community.
What do you like best about the product?
Course content creation, many options to create digital courses, interactive content through HTML, adaptable to any other app such as genially, nearpod and more!
What do you dislike about the product?
System failures take a lot of time to be solved and generates a lot of frustration between teachers and students with file sharing, connecting with office 365, assignments and else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Course Content creation is something we needed for future generations, is simple to create courses, assign students and keep track of assignments, grades, forums, and portfolio.
The most efficient educational platform
What do you like best about the product?
The efficiency with which the tasks are carried out, both for structuring the classes and for qualifying everything at the same time and in most cases becoming automated
What do you dislike about the product?
How do the exam questions have to be created if they can become more automated in some way since it is done one by one. In addition to how some home page templates are populated (for content creation), these templates are complicated to edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The use of the rubrics for the qualification of the works is very good. Topics can be ordered in a friendly way with the class structure. These two elements allow a learning path for students to be created.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To date, it is the most straightforward and most efficient educational platform that I have used to guide student learning and to transmit any knowledge that allows an evaluation of learning consistent with current times where distance is no longer an obstacle to education.
Beyond Satisfied
What do you like best about the product?
One of the main reasons we chose Brightspace and continue to be satisfied with Brightspace is its user-friendly navigation and design. Additionally, I like the stability of the tools in Brightspace and the ability to integrate 3rd party providers into our LMS easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much ;) Some faculty here still lament slight differences between tools in Brightspace and our previous LMS (Blackboard allowed instructors to check a box in the announcements tool and have the announcement also sent as an email to students).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing Brightspace courses to organizations and departments on campus has dramatically improved communication and provided a centralized area for important documents.
Great LMS
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and improves engagement and interaction of students and staff
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not allow students to co-evaluate their assignments, and sometimes uploading videos or documents takes a very long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspace allows teachers to focus on what's essential while providing content that students may benefit from, increasing their engagement. It also makes copying classes, different resources, grading, and giving feedback extremely easy. Another thing that teachers may benefit from is the tools (dashbiard) that Brightspace provides to monitor students' progress.
I love it!
What do you like best about the product?
BrightSpace is an awesome LMS. I like its intuitive and responsive interface and modern design. The learning analytics that it offers has helped us to better understand how teachers and students are using it and make better decisions. Although I haven't tried it, I think the adaptive learning module is a great feature that will allow us to personalize student learning experience in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I haven't found anything that I dislike. Maybe, you can improve/include some automatic integrations (LTI - API) or add some social media features (Like reactions, votes, polls...), but I know you are always considering these improvements and updates in your road map.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem that BrightSpace is helping us to solve is that teachers use the LMS not as a repository of information but as a learning space that complements face-to-face learning. Since it has an intuitive interface, we have also found benefits for our online programs project,
satisfied
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is pleasant and intuitive, easy to use and easy to adapt to.
What do you dislike about the product?
The import of content from blackboard does not work properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Support for my classes, space to share content, easy to make evaluations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have previously used other LMS systems you will probably find it easy to migrate to D2L Brightspace, I think that compared to others it stands out for being very user friendly.
