A truly innovative, intuitive LMS
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of navigation within the system and how clean and modern the layout is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how you cannot view the course code at the top of the page when inside a course offering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems of storage and portfolio management. One of the biggest reasons our institution purchased Brightspace was for the Portfolio tool, so learners can take their work with them wherever they go.
I have worked with many other learning management companies and D2L has been the best!!!
What do you like best about the product?
I like their customer service. I also love our LAM, Steven!!! He has been a great partner and resource on start-up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really have loved all I have experienced so far. Great customer service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspace by far has really been the best LMS that I have used so far. Brightspace has allowed us to integrate MS Teams and many other external tools. They have helped us be successful especially during the pandemic.
Love the customization options

Customizable UX for an adult audience, CRM integration, reporting features, helpful community

Less 3rd party integrations available than some LMS platforms

Offering professional development and certification for education professionals
Best tool for education out there
What do you like best about the product?
It has the most customization out of the softwares I have used. As a previous user of blackboard, Brightspace was a welcome addition to classes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were times organization can be a challenge if you have too many tabs and links to other tabs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are technical glitches that occur when having quizzes at times but are easily fixed. Benefits include reliable educational software that puts the focus on the material rather than learning how to use Brightspace.

So far..There is nothing we want to do to support our atudents to learn better that Brigthspace cannot do ..
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of Some simple best practices dashboards / reports that we could use from the beginning.

Provide a better iser experience for our stidents as well as teachers...
BrightSpace by D2L
What do you like best about the product?
BrightSpace is easy to use and intutive. There are a lot of options with roles and permissions to customize for your company.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of the enhanced customization comes at an additional fee. If you'd like a 1:1 Technical Account Manager, it comes at another cost. The UI sometimes looks like a backend system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to offer courses to our students through brightspace.
Very Good Learning Management System
What do you like best about the product?
Several third-party software tools integrate with D2LBrightspace, and instructors can customize their course sites with D2L Brigthspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
The instructor has little control over managing grade items with associating with third-party tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am providing instructional content and resources to my students and the ability to communicate directly with my students individually or as a class.

What do you like best about the product?
I like brightspace because it is available on your laptop and on your phone. It provides easy access to important notifications and dates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the app is not available on your phone as "Brightspace" but instead as an an app named "Pulse" that doesn't include the full options you receive while using the app on a browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am communicating with colleagues and instructors on how to navigate stuff through the Covid-19 pandemic and joe to still be able to fullfill university education being online.
It has all the functions that we are looking for

The integration with other software, and the friendly customer support.

There are a lot more they can do for built-in report function, complex design in competencies, lack of documentation for LOR

Good user experiences overall, reliable services from AWS. SIS integration feature has significantly reduced the manual labor hours.

What do you like best about the product?
It is highly customizable to the needs of the institution. Content built in D2L can easily be tailored to meet accessibility standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many features have too many settings options that can be confusing to our faculty members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Common problems include confusion about availability dates, especially setting availability dates for grade items.
