Great and effective LMS
What do you like best about the product?
I find it easy to engage with my students and to offer a wide range of information to the students.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am easily able to use photos in the course, but I do find it more difficult to insert videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this to manage my classroom. It was a strong tool during the pandemic and continues to offer different ways to reach out to the students.

What do you dislike about the product?
As a non-html fluent faculty member, I would like to see the html editor become even easier to use and have even more capaiblity, such as more available fonts, easy to set line spacing, etc

D2L is an extremely responsive Learning Platform that works to continually improve the experience!
What do you like best about the product?
D2L continually works to improve the experience for both learners and instructors. They work with the organizational admins to come up with creative solutions to problems throughout each organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there is anything that I dislike.

We are currently setting up a personalized learning platform for our 4 - 12 students.

What do you like best about the product?
Brightspace allows customers to easily fine-tune their learning environment. The continuous delivery method allows Brightspace to update and address software issues quickly. The customer service is great and responsive to inquiries.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike. Brightspace meets all of our needs.

Brightspace helps us deliver high-quality online and hybrid classes. It organizes course information in a way that is easy for users to interact with.

There are many integrations and a great knowledge base/community.

Can be a bit complex to customize and some things are not customizable.

It allows my school to scale our online courses and provide sustainable asynchronous learning.

Sometimes when the LMS is crashing especially when many of us are using it.

Brightspace is a must especially nowadays. It will help you design your courses with ease and deliver them to the students efficiently.
My Review on Desire2Learn
What do you like best about the product?
What I liked best about desire2learn because it is easy to use, I can access my college assignments without any hassle or struggle. I can communicate or message my teacher when I need help. Or when I have a question. I would highly recommend this to colleges and other schools districts. The pros of using this software is that the teacher can see who turned in the assingnments and who didnt do the assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I disliked is how they arrange my assignment or my classes. I should be able to find my lessons without looking for a whole two minutes .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem I am solving with D2L Brightspace is that I am trying to figure out some of the links that my teacher put on desire two learn. The benefits I have realized are that I can communicate and seek help when I need it.

The platform has never been down in the 6 years we've been on it. It's highly intuitive and therefore easy to use and I love working with the D2L team.

Nothing - I've used other platforms and none are as effective as Brightspace.

We use Brightspace to provide professional development to the marketing community in Canada. It's intuitive for all users (learners, admin and instructors). Our biggest benefit was contracting the D2L Creative Services team to provide best in class instructional design to our signature program, the Chartered Marketer designation program.
Highly Customizable LMS for K12, Higher Education & Corporate
What do you like best about the product?
Our favorite feature of Brightspace is its high level of flexibility and customization. We can create virtually any type of content with relative ease and give every piece its own unique look and feel while still maintaining brand standards.
The level of support we get from D2L is also amazing; everyone at the organization is passionate about learning and goes out of their way to provide the best possible customer experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
The admin experience is outdated and needs to be simplified. It takes far too many clicks to accomplish basic tasks, such as creating new user accounts and populating user attributes. The Brightspace Community and the guided training are helpful, but disorganized - it's not always easy to find the resource you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We originally purchase Brightspace in order to modernize our customer training - we wanted to move away from live, in-person training in order to scale our customer onboarding and education programs. We've been very happy with the results so far, and have cut costs while at the same time expanded training offerings on new products.
In the coming years, we look to expand our use of Brightspace to employee onboarding, sales enablement and partner education.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a highly customizable LMS with a large number of features, Brightspace may be the solution for you. However, if you're looking for an out-of-the-box solution that doesn't require much maintenance or work, Brigthspace probably isn't the right fit for your organization.
