What do you like best about the product?
Everything is in one place. You can access different classrooms and content.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of links and dropdowns. It takes a while to find what you're looking to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtual learning with students, all their work is in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Similar to Canvas or Blackboard, it is an easy way to organize course information and share your setup from one semester to the next. Organizing grades is easy to setup and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Embedding videos and setting up quizzes, etc seemed easier and more intuitive to me in other platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
General day to day course organization/business
New to D2L, A+ experience!
What do you like best about the product?
I am new to D2L and after using Canvas and Blackboard, I find Brightspace to be the superior LMS in both functionality, and most importantly, support. I am not used to getting same day support but with D2L it happens more than it doesn't and that let's us move forward with projects without waiting for questions to be answered.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that other LMS providers offer that Brightspace still does not but I know they are constantly working on improving their platform and adding new features very often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are constantly improving the student experience and that is because of amazing teams in both the workplace and our dedicated support team at D2L. Our ultimate goal is for students to be successful and our partnership with D2L makes that possible.

Grading is still clunky and inefficient.

Ease of use, innovative tools, accessibility features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many ways of doing the same thing. It would be easier to teach and support if there was only one way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote teaching, student tracking and analytics, student wngafement with course materials.

Focus on faculty engagement, they hold the keys to successful rollout to students.
A truly innovative, intuitive LMS
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of navigation within the system and how clean and modern the layout is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how you cannot view the course code at the top of the page when inside a course offering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems of storage and portfolio management. One of the biggest reasons our institution purchased Brightspace was for the Portfolio tool, so learners can take their work with them wherever they go.
Streamlined Course Management, Time-Saving Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how D2L Brightspace saves us time, especially with the archiving process our LAMP program was using. Our LAM was able to efficiently archive around 2,000 courses from 2022 through APIs, which would have taken a much longer time if done manually. It's also great that It is great he can test processes in a test environment before implementation. We learn a lot from our LAM, which helps keep us focus on our tasks and makes the whole process easier and more efficient. I find the assignments tool very helpful for instructors to collect necessary assessments to demonstrate learning objectives and having the rubric feature attached to assignments is very easy to use. Additionally, the integration with tools like Office 365 and Panopto really enhances our system. The Office 365 integration works well for submitting electronic files from OneDrive, and Panopto allows recorded sessions to be easily integrated and accessible for students, even including comprehension quizzes that link directly to the Brightspace grade book. Altogether, with third-party tools support through LTI 1.3, Brightspace serves as a great addition to our educational environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features like integrating third-party tools, especially with Copyleaks, are tricky. Right now, students have to submit their assignments twice—once to the Copyleaks assignment and then again to Brightspace. We're working both with Copyleaks and D2L to make this integration seamless so instructors can use Copyleaks within the existing assignment tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find our LAM helps us to save us a lot of time with course archiving, preventing lengthy manual processes. Our LAM helps us focus on our mission of supporting instructors and students, ensuring they complete course objectives.

Customizable UX for an adult audience, CRM integration, reporting features, helpful community

Less 3rd party integrations available than some LMS platforms

Offering professional development and certification for education professionals
Best tool for education out there
What do you like best about the product?
It has the most customization out of the softwares I have used. As a previous user of blackboard, Brightspace was a welcome addition to classes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were times organization can be a challenge if you have too many tabs and links to other tabs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are technical glitches that occur when having quizzes at times but are easily fixed. Benefits include reliable educational software that puts the focus on the material rather than learning how to use Brightspace.

So far..There is nothing we want to do to support our atudents to learn better that Brigthspace cannot do ..
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of Some simple best practices dashboards / reports that we could use from the beginning.

Provide a better iser experience for our stidents as well as teachers...
