Great LMS
What do you like best about the product?
There are many integrations and a great knowledge base/community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit complex to customize and some things are not customizable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows my school to scale our online courses and provide sustainable asynchronous learning.
Our student engagement and ability to track key learning metrics have both improved since implementing Brightspace.

Very helpful, easy to use, and can be integrated with other apps.

I like the interface and it is user-friendly.

Sometimes when the LMS is crashing especially when many of us are using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Regarding with the grade privacy of the students, this is recommended.

Brightspace is a must especially nowadays. It will help you design your courses with ease and deliver them to the students efficiently.
My Review on Desire2Learn
What do you like best about the product?
What I liked best about desire2learn because it is easy to use, I can access my college assignments without any hassle or struggle. I can communicate or message my teacher when I need help. Or when I have a question. I would highly recommend this to colleges and other schools districts. The pros of using this software is that the teacher can see who turned in the assingnments and who didnt do the assignments.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I disliked is how they arrange my assignment or my classes. I should be able to find my lessons without looking for a whole two minutes .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem I am solving with D2L Brightspace is that I am trying to figure out some of the links that my teacher put on desire two learn. The benefits I have realized are that I can communicate and seek help when I need it.

The platform has never been down in the 6 years we've been on it. It's highly intuitive and therefore easy to use and I love working with the D2L team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - I've used other platforms and none are as effective as Brightspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Brightspace to provide professional development to the marketing community in Canada. It's intuitive for all users (learners, admin and instructors). Our biggest benefit was contracting the D2L Creative Services team to provide best in class instructional design to our signature program, the Chartered Marketer designation program.
Highly Customizable LMS for K12, Higher Education & Corporate
What do you like best about the product?
Our favorite feature of Brightspace is its high level of flexibility and customization. We can create virtually any type of content with relative ease and give every piece its own unique look and feel while still maintaining brand standards.
The level of support we get from D2L is also amazing; everyone at the organization is passionate about learning and goes out of their way to provide the best possible customer experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
The admin experience is outdated and needs to be simplified. It takes far too many clicks to accomplish basic tasks, such as creating new user accounts and populating user attributes. The Brightspace Community and the guided training are helpful, but disorganized - it's not always easy to find the resource you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We originally purchase Brightspace in order to modernize our customer training - we wanted to move away from live, in-person training in order to scale our customer onboarding and education programs. We've been very happy with the results so far, and have cut costs while at the same time expanded training offerings on new products.
In the coming years, we look to expand our use of Brightspace to employee onboarding, sales enablement and partner education.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a highly customizable LMS with a large number of features, Brightspace may be the solution for you. However, if you're looking for an out-of-the-box solution that doesn't require much maintenance or work, Brigthspace probably isn't the right fit for your organization.

What I like the most is that Brightspace offers a friendly and customizable interface for designing courses. It provides teachers many tools that allow them to personalize the student experience, facilitating an adaptable learning experience for each person.
Another aspect to highlight is the constant support provided by the team since from the beginning they were pending the appropriation of the platform, both by users and administrators.
It also has a community where users from various organizations share their doubts, problems, errors, and solutions they have found,
additionally there is the Product Idea Exchange, where improvement opportunities can be shared and developers take them into account for future platform updates

Some tasks on Brigstspace have so many configurations that it sometimes confuses instructors who are new to the platform.
The reports on the use of the platform are pretty confusing and incomplete, making it difficult to follow up simple tasks, individual classes, or groups of course offerings.

The integration between presence and virtuality; Although the need to include technological tools in the development of academic activities was already a reality; the pandemic demonstrated that education must take advantage of the technological age. Some tasks on Brigstspace have so many configurations that it sometimes confuses instructors who are new to the platform.

Brightspace has a community ready to help with any concerns or doubts you have, even sharing experiences about how they handle the platform.
They also have a PIE where suggestions are heard, and sconsidered for future updates.

Great platform for Higher Education
What do you like best about the product?
It's clean, easy to navigate, and provides clear ways that faculty can organize their content for the online or hybrid classroom space.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had the ability to print quizzes for ADA compliance.

Easily adding accommodations with a new feature.

D2L Brightspace offers customizable design that is also accessible to users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The design process has a bit of a learning curve. A few superusers who test and play with it and share it's capacity for use is a great idea!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating beautiful, accessible online courses through customizable HTML templates. We are able to make online learning simple, accessible, and fun!
I use D2L as our LMS for the Nursing program. We use it for content and student tracking.

I like that everything is easy to use and the use of rubrics is awesome.

I think the help files could be improved.

We use D2L for exams in conjunction with Respondus Lockdown browser/monitor for test security.
A LMS That Treats You Like Family
What do you like best about the product?
Over the years I have loved to see how D2L has never once stopped in its mission to create an outstanding LMS for all audiences.
The best part is that as fast as D2L is moving they never once have left me behind! I appreciate the support, encouragement, relationships, and friendships I created in the D2L realm.

My biggest dislike for a while was the instructional videos created and posted on YouTube. However, these have gotten so much better recently.
