Intelligent Visibility with Milestone Xprotect
What do you like best about the product?
Its ease in tracking and monitoring the organization's surveillance cameras provides an intuitive interface that allows for quicker access to the visibility of any important camera for the organization, as well as ease of customization and effective support from its engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are very few things that I don't see as favorable in Milestone, perhaps its price is not so accessible for some companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Milestone helped us improve the visibility of the recordings and live video from the organization's cameras, but above all, it helped us with the problem of generating videos for the state entities that requested information from us, which was very difficult to search for in the previous tool.

Many System Integrators are low skilled or without expirience

Large Systems with redundancy and vendor independent Hardware. Many Solution Partner in Place.

Integrates with a wide range of third-party hardware and software, including cameras, access control systems, and analytics tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface is a bit dated and newer video export formats such as h.265 would be helpful.

Monitorig of our 200 plus secuirty cameras.
Very good application, user frendly, stable

The price of the licences and carepack are a little too much expensive

Problem of server processor, masking, motion

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about the XProtect is how easily it can integrate wide range of cameras and NVR on server with Auto Detec feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the Dahua cameras are not easily added using ONVIF conformant driver and had to use Universal Drivers which limits the camera features

Managing a big site with the ease of controlling the cameras through Smart Client
Moving from NXW to Milestone has been difficult

Like the intergration support, investigations and the mobile client.

The smart client is horrible, it definetly needs to support custom layouts, similar to what NX does.

Its allowing us to integrate our alarm system and halo sensors.

Milestone is super easy to implement and works very well with numerous camera vendors

Support is expensive. Annual maintenance is a little high

Innovation - They adapt latest technology and keep improvising the product to be the best in the market

Licensing concept and cost. It's fair to earn but should come up with new way to still earn and cost less.

Integration issues were resolved and have 1 common platform to use for multiple systems
Good software, but needs improvement

It's an open platform and highly customizable, the support SLA is good.

In terms of analytics, they only have native motion detection, other VMS have had native analytics for a couple of years now.

Early threat detection and ease of use for operators.
Best Open Architecture VMS System on the Market
What do you like best about the product?
Reliable, support always available and always helpful, supports just about nay camera. Has a great amount of options for basically any type of site or system required.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Monitoring, reporting aspect and mass config changes and firmware which are all taken care of by Boring Labs so perfect combination.

Provide a solid , open VMS system for our customers.
