Makes it relatively easy to wrangle OS and 3rd party app patching
What do you like best about the product?
For admins who are familiar with things like Jamf and SCCM there isn't much of a learning curve here.
Automox does quite a bit well, and they seem willing to take on the challenge of patching new apps that aren't in their catalog yet. I am cautiously optimistic that they will start to take care of a few edge titles in my specific environment that have very frequent updates, and is a pain to manually patch.
OS updates and Upgrade management is a major reason we turned to this platform and by all indications, it is going to fit the bill quite well.
How things are orginized in the platform makes sense, and gives you a lot of good information at a quick glance.
At our tier, we have custom onboarding which has greatly facilitated our implemtation of this. I look forward to finalizing things.
The added bonus of things like a remote support tool add a ton of value to us.
In my experiences with their support arm - they seem competent and generally provide a timely and cohearant response to questions and issues I have.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would really like to see the ability to customize the branding on the notificaions a bit, and get way more granular in the types of notificaions we send out to our end users. On windows, there is a generic Green checkbox, and I feel that the notificaions piece could be greatly improved.
On the macOS side, I think Automox would *GREATLY* benefit from using something like swiftdialog to enhance the ability to brand, and customize precisely what our users see.
I wish that the process for secure token on the macOS side was a bit less painful, but being fair to Automox, Apple has not made this easy for anyone, and I do have a solution that works, it is just sub optimal.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This will help our security posture, compliance and change management greatly. When there are critical updates we can force them quickly. When there is an update known to cause problems we can slow roll it. We can choose the day and time we want to have patches apply, and we can set up groups with different paramenters.
Remote support from anywhere is a huge added value for us.
OS updates and upgrade management is another huge area that Automox solves for us.

Automox x Logically
What do you like best about the product?
Logically uses Automox to standadise patching on all our Windows and MacOS endpoints. Patch Management: Ensuring all endpoints are up-to-date with the latest security patches to mitigate risks of vulnerabilities and cyberattacks, this includes OS and 3rd party patching. Endpoint Security: Proactively addressing security threats and vulnerabilities before they can exploit the devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
MacOS deployment could be easier, the addtional steps add complexity.

Automox is efficient, intuitive and simple to use
What do you like best about the product?
With Automox, we effectively maintain our clients and servers at performance and security by ensuring they're always up to date. Our team also leverages the community feature to discover innovative scripts, which further enhances our reach. The service offers us reliability and smooth operations, giving us peace of mind. Personally, I find the tool intuitive and user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
An aspect that could be improved on the platform is the script deployment process. It can be challenging to track the progress of scripts, and at times, I found it difficult to locate script logs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since adopting Automox to streamline patch management for our operating systems and third-party applications, our organization experienced several key changes. We've saved time and effort on client and server maintenance, and our security has strengthened as a result. We have gained back valuable time that we can now dedicate to other critical IT tasks.
I Love Automox
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it combines a bunch of crucial things needed to run IT for a business all in one place. From pushing updates to getting general knowledge about a system, its a great product. I use this product every day for work and it has never failed me. It also makes it easy to push software for easily integrating each laptop with the software we need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to manage files on a system through Automox, that would just add to the convenience of having everything in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that Automox solves for me is cutting down on all the clutter and having a much easier solution to access everything to help end users.
Solved a huge problem and continues to deliver value.
What do you like best about the product?
Automox was easy to implement with great documentation and customer support, easy to automate and gave us completely autonomy around our regular tasks and patching.
Automox maintains both OS and App updates, if the app doesn't allow updates through its OS provider worklets can be built to allow full custom patching and installs of required software.
We initally used Automox everyday to get us to a state of good, since then after adding schedules and automation it has become a backend tool only really accessed for reporting and additional worklets to be added, the rest Automox handles perfectly.
As per the above i've had very little issues getting Automox integrated but the few questions i did have at the start where perfectly sorted really fast by the support team, our account manager was also great, extended our trial, helped us licence in a way that really suited the progression of our business.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is only really one thing which isn't a dislike more of an improvement.
The reporting can lack a little but has been improving month on month we have been working with the product.
We have found the data extractions get around all of the reporting issues but there is definetly some more niche reporting around patching that would be really nice to have.

Fairly intuitive and straightforward to use
What do you like best about the product?
Automox has an easy learning curve, and I find it easy to use when deploying mass software updates and monitoring different machines from one console. It is easier to do this than in SCCM in most cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to monitor which machines might error out when receiving updates. It would be a lot easier to monitor if there was a visual representation once the updates are completed. Occasionally, I also find it difficult to know if a singular machine has received a script or worklet. It might follow the same vein as having that visual representation to show if there were any issues receiving or pushing the worklet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We primarily use it to manage our patches and Windows updates. Automox does make it easier to see when updates are available and which machines will receive them.
Biggest bang for your buck
What do you like best about the product?
1. Great job on giving MSP's ability to easily switch between tenants. Very seamless
2. Awesome, amazingly resompsive knowledgable support. Very willing to jump on a call to demonstrate if you're ever confused.
3. Very straightforward to deploy -- works with GPO (when GPO behaves) and PDQ Deploy.
4. Many worklets supporting many 3rd party use-cases

What do you dislike about the product?
After writing this, I realize these are more feature requests, which I will put them in. But these are things I dislike while using the product:
- A majority of the things I'd like to do requires an API call. But many (you would think simple) reports are locked behind custom API calls - example of my simplest request: what CPU/RAM/HDD size for all my devices? However, I will say I notice every quarter or so, Automox dev team has been working on getting stuff accomplished easier though various other teams.
- Unable to obfuscate customer names as I switch. Consider while on a zoom with a customer, it shows every entity I work for. I'd rather have a toggle to obfuscate company names like Te***sh.

Automox Patch Management
What do you like best about the product?
I think Automox does a great job of patching endpoints, especially laptops. From my experience it does a great job of patching clients as soon as they check in, as long as its configured like that. It is very easy to work with and create update policies. Automox also does a great job of showing you which endpoints are patched and which have any updates that are missing right on the front page. Even though Automox is used heavily for patch management, it can also be used for pushing out software and powershell scripts to computers.
Anything that can be done with powershell can pretty much be done through Automox. Even if you are not an expert in powershell, Automox offers many tools that help with scripting such as their Otto AI helper for writing scripts. They even have a catalog of hundreds of useful scripts that you can easily add and use in your environment. Overall, it is a great patch management system that has helped us over the past year.
Also to mention, Automox's user support is great. They are quick to respond and always happy to help us out when we have any questions or suggestions.

What do you dislike about the product?
Automox can sometimes be a bit slow when it comes to scanning devices. I've been told that it shouldn't take more than a minute to scan each device, but I've had devices take upwards of 5-30 minutes to finish scanning even when no additional software is present on the device after a clean install. Overall, it is functional and quick, but there are some improvements to scanning I would suggest.
Also, Automox does not give the users the options to stop scripts in progress or cancel a scan that may be taking too long to finish. I understand this is more on the admin side of Automox, but I believe that we should be able to stop a bad script or stuck scan on our own devices without needing to contact their support or waiting 24 hours for it to automatically clear itself.

Automox has helped us heavily with patching our endpoints, but it has done an even greater job of helping us patch our laptops. The Patch policies in Automox are heavily customizable and is very easy to jump into. Automox is very responsive when it comes to seeing these devices come online and quickly pushing out updates to them.
Best Patching Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how automated it is, it isn't static plus it is cloud-based too which is a major plus. The Customer Support team is also very fantasic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Devices can only belong in one group (OU) but cannot be added into other groups which is a downside if you need to add different groups that have different policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automox has helped Fortna in patching all of our 3rd party applications, uninstalling unused and outdated software and patching servers, PCs and MACs with OS security patches, an additional powerful feature of Automox is its ability to use scripts.
Automox is a top choice for automatic patching and device compliance!
What do you like best about the product?
The installation and configuration of Automox agent and console are simple and straightforward. Automox provides the user with the flexibility and granularity to configure the patch policies and groups, and to adjust them as needed. The user can also use the Automox console to view and manage the patch policies and groups, and to perform manual or on-demand patch actions, such as scan, install, reboot, or rollback.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Automox tool is very robust but comes at a higher than average cost. The company does offer a pay-as-you-go offering but the discounts come with anual subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating the deployment of patches and updates across our organizations endpoints.
